WND Exclusive – Thank God for the Anti-Federalists

In an Oct. 24, 1787, letter to Thomas Jefferson, James Madison expressed that, “Col. [George] Mason left Philadelphia in an exceeding ill humor indeed. A number of little circumstances arising in part from the impatience which prevailed towards the close of the business, conspired to whet his acrimony. He returned to Virginia with a fixed disposition to prevent the adoption of the plan if possible. He considers the want of a bill of rights as a fatal objection.”

At the Constitutional Convention, in mid-September 1787, committed Anti-Federalists George Mason and Eldridge Gerry failed to persuade any of their fellow delegates to preface the Constitution with a bill of rights.

WND Exclusive – The Latest Wacky School-Segregation ‘Solution’

The stupidity of liberalism knows no bounds. We see it everywhere, from Obamacare to climate change to a myriad of foreign policy debacles. There are dozens, if not hundreds, to choose from.

Forced integration in schools is another of these dimwitted leftist feel-good notions. If people are segregating beyond the government’s liking, just declare it unjustly discriminatory and pass a law to change things. That will fix it. Usurping human nature always does.

For decades the federal government has attempted to usurp human nature’s desire to self-segregate – busing children to far off schools in the name of integration, because the government knows best. Yet, according to leftists, we still have a school segregation problem. read more

WND Exclusive – THANK HEAVENS FOR POLICE BODYCAMS

I must admit that I have not been a fan of police body cameras. I thought they were unnecessary. After all, we’ve gotten along without them for so long. Save for a very few cases, what purpose would they serve? Also, I thought that the footage might somehow be able to be tampered with or a situation taken out of context to taint or skew an incident.

Well, I’ve now taken a full 180-degree turn and am all for bodycams. To prove the need for such devices, allow me to cite two recent incidents involving white police officers and “people of color” claiming to be victims of these “racist” cops. read more

WND Exclusive – Mueller’s Crushers

There is no way Trump should even consider sitting down with Mueller’s team and answering his set of inane and hopelessly open-ended gotcha questions.

The founders never intended for a sitting president to be indicted, tried criminally, or jailed. If they had, they would have included it the Constitution, or at the very least, would have debated the idea during the Convention in 1787. It’s not that they simply forgot to add it. read more

WND Exclusive – GAO: Government Wastes Billions — Who Knew?

Earlier in the week, I wrote a column about how our federal government overlords have a penchant for giving our money away as if it were their own. And often times the money goes to the undeserving. In it, I concentrated on a $1 million payment the Justice Department is gifting to the state of Florida, city of Parkland and Broward County to help defer the costs of the massive response to the Parkland school shooting. My beef wasn’t just the million-dollar gift, but that the feds were in effect rewarding them for the incompetence of the cowards of Broward County – that it would not have cost so much if the deputies had done their jobs in the first place.

Fortuitously, a day later, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a 33-page report chronicling wasteful government spending. Who knew we had a governmental office that actually cares about what the feds spend our money on? read more

WND Exclusive – The Reparations Movement: Alive and Absurd

The reparations movement for leftist blacks in America may have just hit the jackpot. All this time they have been trying to vilify the right and turn the government to their cause, and for decades they have essentially missed the mark.

What is the Reparations Movement?

Well, according to the website, “Reparations Movement for Justice,” the movement entails, “Restoration, Restitution and Reparation. This is for Money, Gold, and Land Owed to African Americans (The Freedman Bureau Bill: 400 Years of Back pay).”

Is that back pay with or without interest, and would it be adjusted for inflation? Just questions that need to be answered. read more

WND Exclusive – WHAT’S NEXT? ANOTHER SEDITION ACT?

I’m sure everyone is well aware of what transpired on Capitol Hill this past week. It was Mark Zuckerberg goes to Washington, to testify, or rather attempt (or not) to explain why Facebook blocks content and otherwise censors conservative voices. Many, like internet sensations Diamond and Silk, have been at the center of this free-speech firestorm. This, thanks in large part to my man Ted Cruz and Rep. Billy Long. Their content was deemed by Facebook to be hate speech. In fact it is just dissenting opinion the left so fears.

Now, Zuckerberg could have simply stated that Facebook is a private company and as such can do whatever the heck they want regarding limiting free speech, and he would have been right. But he didn’t. read more

WND Exclusive – Bill of Rights: 9 Apply to the Individual but 1 Does Not?

It recently dawned on me what should be the most obvious argument for the individual right to “keep and bear arms.”

The primary purpose of the 10 Amendments that form the Bill of Rights is to protect the natural rights of the individual from an encroaching federal government function. The only way someone would not know this is if they have not read them.

In fact, each of the Bill of Rights’ 10 Amendments – there were originally 17 – states this by use of the words person, people, owner, or accused. The only two that do not expressly state the individual are the Seventh and Eighth. They do, however, use inference to make the point that both pertain to the individual. read more

WND Exclusive – I’ve been Awakened to Domestic Abuse

Normally, I write about politics. Politics is important. No doubt about it. It’s what drives the country, for better or worse. I’ll go with the latter.

And it’s what we write and read about on a daily basis. Some earn a good living doing it. But it’s not the be all, end all – or shouldn’t be. Family and friends are what should be most important and should trump everything – but God. When it comes down to it, it should be the care and love of our fellow man (and woman), not our political party.

But what happens when you discover that a friend or loved one has suffered abuse at the hands of a spouse or someone else he or she trusted?

My first instinct as a sheepdog is to see to it that the offender doesn’t see the light of the following day, but then I come to my senses. read more

Can Trump Finally End Handouts to Liberal Artists?

Art transcends politics. Isn’t that the saying?

Well, it may have, but hasn’t been for a while now. And with the election of Donald Trump as president, it seems the opposite is true.

I think we can all recall a little more than a year ago when the left was positively giddy over the fact that, “While Obama’s [inaugural] concert included the likes of Beyoncé, U2, Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen – ‘Trump’s Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration’ will be marked by lower-wattage stars,” and that, “Singers who have agreed to perform at Trump’s inauguration have faced widespread backlash. Others associated with the event we’re forced to back away, while some have come out saying they wouldn’t perform even if asked.”

This past year it seems, more than any time before, that “art” equals politics. read more
