Trumplomacy Appears to be Working

from Breitbart:

Trump: Pyongyang Has Returned 200 ‘Fallen Heroes’ from Korean War

President Donald Trump announced at a rally in Duluth, Minnesota, on Wednesday that North Korea has returned the remains of 200 U.S. troops who went missing during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953.

“We got back our great fallen heroes, the remains sent back today, already 200 got sent back,” said Trump. This would represent the bulk of the American remains North Korea has admitted to possessing. read more

Trump Must Draw a Red Line in the Sand

I remember when my kids were little and my wife (now ex-wife) and I both worked. We had to drop the kids off at daycare. For a period of time, one or the other or both, would wail, crying for Mommy and/or Daddy, like we abandoned them. We felt bad – her more than me – but we got over it, knowing we would be reunited with the little tikes at the end of the day.

But what if we had to drop them off, not at daycare, but life-care, with little to no prospect of seeing them ever again? I would say not a chance, as would hopefully the overwhelming majority of parents.

Short of tossing them off a train that’s traveling to a death camp, what the hell kind of parent would voluntarily separate from their children. And I don’t mean to save them from just potential harm. I mean to save them from certain death.

But this is what the left is trying to convince us of – that Honduras, Guatemala and el Salvador have all descended into some sort of Khmer Rouge type killing fields. Central American countries are in fact the murder capitals of the world, but it is not certain death to stay there, as it was by being a Jew in Nazi Germany, or anyone who opposed Stalin or Mao, or Pol Pot, leader of the aforementioned Khmer Rouge. read more

Mark Sanford Lost his Primary Bid … to Trump

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Most of us know about the defeat of incumbent Republican Congressman Mark Sanford to South Carolina State rep. Katie Arrington. Many are pointing to president Trump’s influence in the race. Trump tweeted his support of Arrington over Sanford on election day, which may have been what put Arrington over the top.

Sanford is considered to be one of those dreaded Never-Trumpers. If true, that’s a rather idiotic stance to take. It’s as idiotic a stance as being an Ever-Trumper, or Trump apologist. No man is perfect, nor is he completely flawed.

Damning a politician for who he is rather than his policy positions is just stupid. You don’t have to like the man to like his policies. But you can disagree without being disagreeable.

The feud between Sanford and Trump dates back a couple of years, when Sanford exclaimed after a meeting with then candidate Trump that he wasn’t particularly impressed with Trump’s knowledge of the Constitution. Sanford mocked him slightly, which was unnecessary.

Sanford also criticized Trump’s use of the word “s***-hole” to describe some third world countries. Again, this was an unnecessary criticism, particularly because they are s-hole countries. read more

Video Podcast – Trump May Legalize Pot

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

President Donald Trump said Friday that he’s inclined to support a bipartisan effort in Congress to ease the U.S. ban on marijuana, a proposal that would dramatically reshape the nation’s legal landscape for pot users and businesses.

Of course we Constitutionalists, even the common ones, know that it isn’t the federal government’s job to make it illegal or legalize it in the first place. That’s the sole responsibility of the States.

In other words, president Trump would merely be setting right what should have been since the feds started medaling in the State’s business in the first place. read more

ESPN Shows Media Double Standard

Both the Super Bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles and the NBA champion Golden State Warriors have opted not to visit president Trump at the White House. And Trump is okay with that. If they don’t want to be there, he doesn’t want them. Predictably the leftist media is hailing the two team decisions as some sort of triumph. But it wasn’t that way just a half a dozen years ago.

from The Right Scoop:

Here’s what ESPN said when a hockey

player protested the visit to OBAMA’S White House…

In case you wanted any more evidence of the double standard that ESPN has for the right and the left, someone dug up an article from years back where they absolutely slammed a white NHL player for protesting the visit to the White House – when it was Obama’s term. read more

Little by Little, the Wall is Being Built

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Slow but sure, the Southern border wall is being built. If this is how president Trump has to get it done, so be it, and I guess we should be thankful.

We should be thankful that there is finally someone at the top who does give a crap and someone who is determined to keep his campaign pledge – not just drop it because it’s just “too hard,” or he might waste some important “political capital.”

And please stop with the mocking refrains about Mexico paying for the wall. Like that’s of paramount importance. If it eventually happens – great. Otherwise Trump’s exclamation should be taken as it was intended – a purposely hyperbolic negotiating tactic.

We should be thankful that we have a president who has not given up on the project, despite opposition from both sides. He is also fighting the derelict Washington mindset that dictates if something isn’t “comprehensive,” it should not even be considered. If “comprehensive” border legislation can’t be passed, nothing should be. That’s not defeatist at all. read more

Trump, the Lunch Pail Billionaire, has Driven the Left Mad

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

It was August 1, 1988. Remember the date? Maybe not, unless you’re a common sense, right thinking conservative. It was the first day of Rush Limbaugh’s nationally syndicated radio talk show. And it was the beginning of the new conservative movement. One that the everyman, like you and me, could be part of.

The show took off like a rocket. No one had ever heard such things, particularly from the boring, deadpan, AM dial.

And why did it become an instant an enduring success? First was the shock factor. People, me included, couldn’t believe what we were hearing. “Can you believe what that Limbaugh guy said on the radio,” was a common refrain.

And second, and more importantly, Rush gave voice to what we were thinking. It’s just that simple. Finally there was a guy in the media who actually thought like us – believed what we did, and was not shy about expressing it. In a sea of liberalism from the left and measured politispeak from the right, Limbaugh was breath of fresh air. read more

Another Trump Derangement Mishap by the Left

I know it’s not charitable, but there’s a certain amount of satisfaction obtained by seeing radical leftists in the main stream media twist in the wind as they scramble about trying to cover up yet another Trump Derangement mishap. Their hatred of Trump is so blinding that they’ve completely abandoned any fact-checking in order to advance the anti-Trump train down the tracks. Thankfully for us, the more they jump the gun, the more the voting public sees what disingenuous liars they are, and how they really are just the media arm of the democrat party.

LIBERALS FIRE OUT ANGRY TWEET CLAIMING CAGED IMMIGRANT CHILDREN ARE BEING HELD IN CAGES BY TRUMP BUT OOPS THAT’S OBAMA’S HANDYWORK

The Left Is Becoming More Desperate

from the American Thinker:

Progressives on the Brink

The Trump era has exposed the dark, vindictive, and oppressive side of liberalism, but that side has always existed.  “Progressives,” as they prefer to be known, have a long history of extremism going back to Woodrow Wilson’s Sedition Act of 1918 and FDR’s many power-grabbing activities, including the 1937 attempt to pack the Supreme Court.  Progressive thinking, because it attempts to impose an extreme vision of society on a public that resists its measures, is by its very nature authoritarian, antidemocratic, and elitist.  Liberalism is not the “party of the people,” as it has long claimed to be: it is, rather, a despotic philosophy that because of its intention of imposing “advanced” thinking on the masses can govern only through deceit and force.

Iran Doing Everything it can to Keep the Cash Rolling In

from The Washington Free Beacon:

Iran in Panic Mode, Scrambles to Save Nuclear Deal

The Iranian ruling regime is racing to save the landmark nuclear deal after President Donald Trump bucked European powers and walked away from the agreement with a vow to reimpose a package of harsh sanctions on the Islamic Republic, according to U.S. officials and regional experts who say the hardline regime is scared about losing the sweetheart deal.

Leading Iranian officials have been locked in tense meetings with European countries and former U.S. officials to ensure they continue to uphold the deal and keep doing business with the Islamic Republic.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, one of the country’s lead negotiators, held a series of meetings with European Union countries on Tuesday to plead with them about saving the deal and ensuring Tehran remains open for business as the United States tees up a package of sanctions that could cripple Iran’s already ailing economy. read more
