WND Exclusive – The left’s despicable use of emotion post-Vegas

In the aftermath of the Las Vegas massacre, it took only a matter of hours before the left sought to divide us, howling for gun control. But as we’ve seen many times before, they don’t care how it sounds or looks. They don’t care how caustic their rhetoric is. It’s all and only about advancing the agenda.

The overarching agenda of the progressive left, since its rise to prominence in the early 20th century, was/is to chip away at and eventually supplant the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence with their version of America. And they will seize any opportunity do so, regardless of how tasteless. read more

Unemployment Insurance – Another Good Crisis

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Despite the lies predicated by the Obama administration regarding an improving economy, many experts are growing increasingly concerned that we may be headed for another recession.

Because of this, states may suffer mightily being that several already are carrying massive deficits in their unemployment insurance funds. “A mere 18 states have enough money in their unemployment insurance trust funds to get through a 12 month recession, according to the Department of Labor.”

The state trust funds are designed to provide 26 weeks of unemployment insurance to residents. “Strikingly, many of those state funds are actually in worse financial shape now than they were before the 2008 financial crisis.”

Not surprisingly California is in the worst shape. The state’s unemployment trust fund is presently indebted to the federal government for more than $6 billion. Yes, the federal government provides emergency loans to states that can’t cover the cost of their own unemployment insurance. It’s a huge disadvantage to states who aren’t allowed to print their own money – a problem the feds don’t have. read more

Amtrak Derailment Is Just Another Good Crisis

by: the Common Constitutionalist

An Amtrak train derails killing seven so far and injuring hundreds more. Frankly it’s a miracle more weren’t killed. Some are in critical condition and may still die from their injuries, but still, it’s a minor miracle.

Evidently the train was traveling in excess of 100 mph. “The speed limit is 70 mph just before the curve and 50 mph along the curve itself,” the Federal Railroad Administration said. Amtrak inspected the stretch of track on Tuesday, just hours before the accident, and found no defects.

Although there have been track and equipment failures in the past – some might call these things “infrastructure” – it’s pretty rare. Actually, train accidents are pretty rare, regardless of the cause. Including this one, there have been six train accidents thus far in 2015, and exactly none had anything to do with equipment or “infrastructure.”

In January a prison bus was struck by a train in Texas. There were two in February: a Metro North train hit a car and a derailment in California caused by hitting a vehicle on the tracks. There were two in March: an Amtrak train hit a tractor-trailer in North Carolina and a Los Angeles Expo-line train collided with two cars. Then of course there is this latest horrific derailment that appears so far to be driver error.

Five out of the six train accidents this year were caused by idiots in vehicles parked across the tracks and the other at least so far appears to be the fault of the driver. read more
