ACLU Wants Local Police to Thwart Trump’s Illegal Alien Crackdown

Last week it was announced that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is launching an attack (rhetorically) on the Trump administration and his order to crack down on illegal immigration and sanctuary cities.

As an aside – isn’t it funny that of its four word name, the only word that may correctly apply is Union? This Union of radicals is, in my opinion, American in name only, hardly civil and has very little to do with liberty.

The Guardian.com, that paragon of conservatism, writes that, “The civil rights organization, which has emerged as one of the Trump administration’s major foes, plans to leverage individual cities’ local authority to protect undocumented immigrants from deportation.”

Well that’s interesting and befuddling, as States, cities and localities have zero authority regarding anything having to do with immigration – other than assisting federal law enforcement. I’m not a radical leftist ACLU attorney, but I can read. The Constitution is pretty clear on that point. Article I, section 8, clause 4 gives Congress full authority, “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization…,” and thus immigration. read more

Canadian Border Patrol Can’t Handle all the Illegals

The Hits Just Keep on Coming! Every week there is more evidence of self-deportation. Ain’t it Grand. As I’ve predicted on many occasions – if we are serious about deportation, the word will get out and they will begin to leave on their own. We don’t have to lift a finger or spend a dime of taxpayer money.

However, if it keeps up, we may see Canada building a wall on its Southern Border.

The Daily Mail chronicles the new found pressure being put on the Canadian border patrol. They are the ones now demanding more agents as they struggle to cope with the pending flood of illegals trying to escape “Trump’s” America. read more

Judge Helps Illegal Alien Escape

You can’t tell me our courts aren’t completely politicized!

from the Daily Mail:

  • Diddier Pacheco Salazar, 22, faced court in Oregon on January 27 over a DUI
  • Judge Monica Herranz is accused of helping him leave Multnomah County Court so he wouldn’t be arrested by waiting ICE agents
  • Salazar is an undocumented Mexican-born construction worker
  • He ended up being arrested by agents two weeks later when he returned for a further court appearance
  • ICE is not conducting a criminal investigation into Judge Herranz but she is being investigated internally
  • Judge Herranz is on the board of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association

Diddier Pacheco Salazar, 22, appeared before Judge Monica Herranz to plead guilty in a DUI case on January 27 in Multnomah County, Oregon.

Salazar entered the courtroom with his lawyer but never came back out again.

ICE Detains Illegal After Speech

This is the way it’s supposed to work!

from the Clarion-Ledger:

Moments after an immigrant spoke out about her fears of deportation, she was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Daniela Vargas, 22, was detained by ICE agents Wednesday morning, shortly after speaking at a news conference in downtown Jackson, according to her attorney, Abby Peterson.

The news conference was hosted by local immigration attorneys, churches and the Mississippi Immigrants Rights Alliance to bring attention to families impacted by deportation. read more

Self Deportation Beginning Ahead of Schedule

Yesterday, in the first segment of my weekly podcast, I recalled for the listeners, a story of which I simply switched on my TV. There I saw on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly speaking with Geraldo Rivera about illegal immigration and deportation. You may listen here.

He retold, in brief, the story of Guadalupe García de Rayos, a Mexican illegal alien who was recently deported. You may read a more detailed account here.

Geraldo said, quite correctly, that this spectacle was all over the news. Everyone was covering it. He then turned to Bill and said that this incident was only one of 11 million. He explained that this leaves 10,999,999 to go. He asked O-Reilly if America is ready and willing to witness the tragedy of millions being deported every day on the evening news and thousands of websites.

In my podcast, as well as many articles I’ve written on the subject, I exclaimed that this will not occur. It didn’t occur when President Eisenhower oversaw the deportation of millions of illegals and it won’t occur this time. I’m certain of it.

During his career in Real Estate, the Trumpster took pride in projects coming in under budget and ahead of schedule. It looks like he’s doing it again. read more

Podcast – Deportation Sob Stories – Scary Firearms are Banned – Take Down that American Flag

Every week, the left will trot out poor illegal aliens who face deportation by that big meanie Trump. Last week was no different. The radical illegal immigrant advocates regale us with sob stories of how unfair the President is. I touch on a few of the latest tearjerkers.

The U.S. Fourth Circuit is making their own unconstitutional law, by stating that scary “exceptionally lethal weapons of war” are not protected by the Second Amendment – as opposed to weapons which are not lethal – I guess.

Podcast – Miami-Dade Agrees to Cooperate with the Feds on Illegals

Commissioners in Miami-Dade County agreed with Mayor Carlos Gimenez, in a 9-3 vote, to cooperate with federal immigration officials.

During a public hearing regarding the vote, leftist illegal alien advocates took turns at the microphone to express their displeasure with the vote, even trotting out children to tug at the heart-strings of the heartless public officials.

I discuss their antics and their ludicrous arguments on behalf of those already deported and those who may come under threat of deportation. read more

A Day Without Illegal Immigrants

You may have heard that yesterday was nationwide, “A Day Without Immigrants” day.

NPR Reported  that, “In cities around America, thousands of construction companies, restaurants and other businesses are bracing for ‘A Day Without Immigrants,’ a combination boycott/strike that highlights the contributions of immigrants to U.S. business and culture.”

“The movement is a response to President Trump’s immigration agenda, which includes a pledge to seal the U.S. border with Mexico and a travel ban on citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries (which is now on hold),” NPR added.

Demonstrations in many major cities throughout the U.S. took place. By sheer coincidence, most of the cities involved, just happen to be of the sanctuary persuasion.

Interestingly, and 100% predictably – of the dozen or so articles I read regarding the “massive” walkouts, from construction companies to schools and restaurants, not one even attempted to make a distinction between legal and illegal immigration. read more

Not a ‘Rayos’ of Hope for the Deported Mother of Two

by: the Common Constitutionalist

See what I did there – a little play on words – you know – Ray – Rayos – cause her name is Rayos?

Anyway, the whole nation has been abuzz over the recent deportation of a poor Arizona wife and mother of two, who was forcibly detained, summarily tossed into the back of a police van and shipped back to Mexico.

As an immediate aside – may I offer an observation? The left always describes their “victims” as poor, pitiful, helpless waifs – especially when women are involved. Many leftist sites described the now deported Guadalupe García de Rayos as simply a wife and mother, and only a wife and mother. So may I ask – just where is the radical National Organization for Women, the Nags? Isn’t just being a wife and mother objectifying her? Because we know that just being a wife and mother is never good enough.

Anyway – just an observation of the inconsistency of the left.

MoveOn.org, choking back a tear, wrote that she was “locked up and then deported the next day. Her kids will grow up without their mother. This was part of a multi-state, coordinated sweep that is terrorizing immigrant communities…” (Emphasis added)

And all because she was just doing what she was told and has done for the past 10 years – doing a “routine check-in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).” read more

Why is Trump Waiting to Rescind DACA?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I have written a lot of rather supportive articles lately about president Trump. I decided going in that I would praise him when it was warranted and criticize him when needed.

It’s only been a few days, and so far, he’s done more good than not. Yet I refuse to be one of Trump’s pom-pom boys (H/T Mark Levin) that cheer every word he utters.

This is one of those times when I feel I must, as others have, question the President.

One of the major issues – perhaps the major issue, and the one that put Trump on the map, was and is illegal immigration – specifically, building the wall and deportations.

It was my hope and understanding – and I’m certainly not the only one – that one of the very first issues Trump would address is immigration. Yet in a flurry of very positive Executive Orders, I didn’t see a single one pertaining to Obama’s unconstitutional Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Executive Order. I personally was looking for the President to end the program on day one. read more
