Next Round of Cuts Coming for ESPN

from Constitution.com:

In the world of sports reporting, there is no longer any doubt that politics are bad for business, yet ESPN can’t seem to divorce themselves from the democrats.

The “worldwide leader in sports” has long been playing politics on their network, joining the massive, futile “resistance” to President Trump that has been spearheaded by a number of liberal lunatics.

Beginning with their unethical firing of baseball legend Curt Schilling over his personal political beliefs, the network has turned into a harbinger of media malfeasance to come. [Actually – Rush Limbaugh was the first to get the ax.] read more

For Years Rush Limbaugh has said that quite often, the mainstream sports media is even more liberal than are their news media counterparts.

And this is no more conspicuous than the management and on screen personalities at ESPN.

It’s evidently just fine with ESPN for their employee, Jemele Hill, to call President Trump a white supremacist, but heaven forbid any of their people espouse a viewpoint other than leftist.

And worse than Linda Cohn being suspended for pointing out the obvious – that ESPN is losing audience due to their leftist politics, Kurt Schilling fired for espousing a conservative view, or the overreaction over Anthony Frederico’s “Chink in the Armor” statement, is someone daring to point out ESPN’s hypocrisy.

This however, may be lost on ESPN, as it is with all leftists, for I don’t believe the term hypocrisy is in the liberal dictionary. read more

Another “Lee” is Removed

Does the left’s insanity know no end? Answer – no, and here’s more proof. If it weren’t so pitiful and harmful, it would laugh out loud funny. It’s true what Rush Limbaugh has been repeating all these years. The main stream sports media are even more leftist than their political counterparts. And no where is it more evident that at ESPN.

from the Blaze:

We knew ESPN was liberal, but you won’t believe what they’ve done now

ESPN removed an Asian-American broadcaster named Robert Lee from a University of Virginia football game to avoid controversy after the Charlottesville protests over a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

ESPN has pulled an Asian-American announcer from calling a University of Virginia football game because his name is Robert Lee. This is not a joke.

Sheeesh! This is second time this week I’ve written about Rush Limbaugh. It does have to do with politics, but thankfully it doesn’t concern the presidential election or the never-ending primary season. I know it’s of vital importance, but frankly the never ending daily doses of it are getting a bit old.

So let’s instead turn our attention to something sports related – sports as it relates to politics.

Some of you may remember that Rush Limbaugh did a short stint as a commentator on the sports network ESPN. If you don’t, that’s okay. It was after all 13 years ago. In 2000 Limbaugh was passed over for a seat on the ABC Monday Night Football crew. They instead went with Dennis Miller. That worked out well – NOT.

Three years later he was offered a position on ESPN’s flagship broadcast, “NFL Sunday Night Countdown,” joining Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Steve Young and Michael Irvin. I recall Rush telling his radio audience that they told him he could speak about anything – that there would be virtually no filter. And he believed them – silly guy. read more
