America and Great Britain Are Government Birds of a Feather

by: the Common Constitutionalist

It doesn’t matter where in the world they reside – liberals and progressives in government think and act alike. They have the same philosophy and use the same tactics, regardless of which side of the pond they are on.

Two of the latest shining examples of sameness are the American and British governments’ treatment of unemployment and immigration.

Our government fudges unemployment numbers all the time by using various ways of classifying the unemployed (e.g., the U3 vs. U6). We know they don’t factor in the long term unemployed and underemployed thereby enabling them to claim that the unemployment rate is well under 6%. We know this to be a lie.

Well, I don’t know who learned from whom, but it turns out Great Britain, our kindred spirits from across the pond do the exact same thing. They too are claiming low employment by using the same tactics as we Yanks. read more

Illegals Can Carry Guns and Collect Unemployment

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The new United States Congress is actually going to attempt to de-fund at least some of the Homeland Security budget that pertains to president Obama’s illegal executive action on immigration.

I’d like to quickly go off topic for just a moment and ask a question. Is there another name for these “immigrants”? Can someone come up with a more appropriate name for these illegals Obama is legalizing please? Criminal trespassers maybe, or worse, when I report what I’m about to report.

Well, it seems the Congress isn’t the only one trying to stop Obama. There are 24 states also trying to block the president’s illegal immigration decree.amnesty

And why are the States getting involved? Obviously they understand that just like every other mandate imposed on them by the feds, the States will be left holding the financial bag.

And they also, most likely, realize that when the feds announced a target number, as in 4 million illegals in this case, the number is guaranteed to be much greater. The States will be on the hook for their education, healthcare, etc., none of which they can afford.

MailOnline reports that a brief released by Wisconsin says “States will have to pay millions of dollars to remediate the problems created by the directive. It will be difficult or impossible to recover those costs from the federal government.” read more

Guess Who’s Crossing the Border?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

By now, most of us on this side of the pen, or the display, or the microphone, have written or spoken of the Mexican-American border problem.

With thousands upon thousands of “children” crossing every week, it would seem that our southern border is wide open. Thanks to our president, the border patrol and other authorities are overwhelmed, leaving little if any man power to patrol.

So, who else might be taking advantage of the Southern sieve? It certainly wouldn’t be radical Islamic terrorists, would it?

Now, we commentators have also written and spoken extensively of the Cloward and Piven strategy – a strategy to purposely overwhelm the system to the point of collapse. We have postulated that this is exactly what Obama is doing at our southern border.

I believe this to be true. But I also contend that this strategy may have dire consequences beyond just the illegal immigrant flood.

Already these illegals are being shipped all over the country to take up residence at military bases – Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, California, and even Massachusetts. And these are the ones that we know of. No doubt the list of states will grow as more and more enter. read more
