Is the Rainbow Flag’s Orange Stripe a Shout Out to Trump

A couple of days ago, The Blaze reported that the city of Philthadelphia “Office of LGBT affairs” has recently unfurled a new flag – the multi-colored rainbow LGBTQ+ flag. They just keep adding more letters – and now even a symbol. Talk about a run-on acronym.

So Philadelphia, which has a total debt of $14.3 billion, or $27,500 per taxpayer (the third highest per capita in the nation), has enough money to fund an Office of LGBT Affairs for what is claimed to be 3.9 percent of its population. And I doubt the percentage is that high.

Anyway, the Run-On Acronym Society (ROAS) claims the new and improved rainbow flag will “show their support for people of color [POC] who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender. We say that we’re inclusive. We celebrate it. Now it’s time to go further.”

The colors they added to show solidarity with the POC are of course brown and black. This may seem inclusive, but to me, this instead shows how racist the ROAS really is, that other-than-hetero POC don’t and can’t identify with the pretty colors that already adorn the flag. read more

The Democrats and the Left Radicalized James T. Hodgkinson

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Republican Representative Steve Scalise, two Capital Hill police officers, David Bailey and Crystal Griner, Congressional staffer Zack Barth and Tyson Foods lobbyist Matt Mika. I’m sure we all wish them a speedy recover.

As most are aware, these individuals were injured in a terrorist shooting during a Republican baseball practice in Alexandria, Va. yesterday.

Did I say terrorist shooting? Darn right I said terrorist! That’s exactly what it was. It was not an Islamic terror attack, but it was terror none the less.

Terror is defined simply as a violent or destructive act committed by an individual or group in order to intimidate a population or government. It may also invoke extreme fear and anxiety. I think we can check off all those boxes.

Others can describe it another way, but to me this was an act of terror. How many Republican Representatives, Senators and staffers will now have their heads on a swivel, forced to be much more aware of their surroundings and maybe sleep with one eye open because of this lunatic. They will no doubt be thinking of copy cats for the foreseeable future. read more

Comey’s Testimony was Nothing to Crow About

by: the Common Constitutionalist and The Hill.com

Since I have a day job, I was not afforded the opportunity to sit and view fired FBI Director James Comey’s public testimony on the Hill yesterday.

I would not have anyway, figuring it would a nothing-burger. I was right. From what I can glean, Comey didn’t offer any further enlightenment or bombshells. It seems to be just a rehashing of his written statement, and everything that has trickled out over the past several months.

Basically that he was a scared girly-man, afraid of big bad President Trump. Maybe he thought one of his private meeting would result in the President body-slamming him ala Greg Gianforte.

From what I understand, he was so concerned about the lack of the President’s character, that he felt the need to run out of his meetings with Trump and type a detailed recollection of every word that was said on a laptop in his car. No doubt he has an eidetic memory, so no one should question the word-for-word accuracy of his accounting. And oddly enough, I don’t think anyone did. I also don’t think anyone asked if the memo (s) he leaked to a reporter were his, or more likely, the property of the FBI, typed on an FBI laptop, in an FBI vehicle. I think we would have heard that exchange, which is why I don’t believe he was asked.

Still, as I did not have a chance to view Comey’s testimony, nor will I, I left the after-action analysis to Kayleigh Mcenany of The Hill.com

OPINION: Dems’ dreams dashed as Comey testimony clears Trump
© Greg Nash

from the Hill:

The much-anticipated day had finally arrived. Democrats breathlessly awaited the testimony of fired FBI Director James Comey, certain that his testimony would topple Trump.

But high hopes turned to dashed dreams when Comey’s testimony cleared President Trump. Not only did the testimony vindicate the commander in chief, it included a startling revelation that Obama-era Attorney General Loretta Lynch attempted to influence the criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton.

Here are the five facts that emerged from the Comey hearing and shattered Democratic dreams:

Yay – Another Lawyer for FBI Director

by: the Common Constitutionalist

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will nominate Christopher A. Wray to be the next director of the FBA.

FBA? Is that a typo? Don’t you mean FBI? No-No I don’t – not anymore.

It’s been a long time since we had an actual G-Man as head of the agency. Now, it may as well be called the Federal Bureau of Attorneys.

So what makes this guy, or any lawyer qualified to head the country’s premier crime fighting agency? Absolutely nothing, as I can see.

Looking at the FBI website, one can see the range of capabilities and services. There is of course the famous FBI’s Ten Most Wanted, the also famous FBI lab services. There’s a section pertaining to the FBI Academy and the Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG). These are the tactical operators, hostage rescue guys. There’s the National Criminal Database, the Strategic Information and Operations Center (SIOC) and the cyber-crime division.

I’m still looking, but somehow I just can’t locate what I’m looking for. But I can’t and won’t find it because it isn’t there. And what isn’t there? Anything that has anything to do with legal services. That’s what isn’t there. read more

First Arrest Made In Hacking Investigation!

from The Daily Mail:

The feds have leveled the first charges against an individual in connection with leaks related to Russian election hacking.

The government has charged Reality Leigh Winner, 25, a Georgia intelligence contractor, with passing secret documents to the media.

‘Winner is a contractor with Pluribus International Corporation assigned to a U.S. government agency facility in Georgia,’ according to a government criminal complaint.

‘She has been employed at the facility since on or about February 13, and has held a Top Secret clearance during that time.

‘On or about May 9, Winner printed and improperly removed classified intelligence reporting, which contained classified national defense information from an intelligence community agency, and unlawfully retained it.’

The Business of Climate Change and the Rise of the Oceans

by: the Common Constitutionalist

In 2015, Takepart.com posted an article  citing what coastal cities will look like after the sea levels rise.

They write that, “Sea-level rise is coming. Even if we keep global temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees Celsius above historic norms—the benchmark for avoiding catastrophic climate warming—we may still see oceans creep four feet farther inland by 2100 and rise 20 feet by as soon as 2200.”

I like the hysteric hyperbole – “catastrophic climate warming” and the fact (or non-fact) that we “may” still see oceans rising – which can equally mean that we may not. It’s a trick the warming alarmists always use figuring most will not pick up the “may” and instead hear “will.” And if you buy into this nonsense, this is what you hear.

The article cites a study published in the journal Science, where researchers compared CO2 levels of today with the last time they claim the levels were similar. It was apparently 120,000 years ago when the level was roughly the same as today, at approximately 400ppm.

They claim that, “Back then, the average global temperature was around 1 to 2 degrees higher than it is now, and the sea level was about 20 feet higher.” read more

There Can be NO Renegotiation of the Paris Wealth-Distribution Treaty

by: the Common Constitutionalist

President Trump has officially pulled us out of the Paris Wealth-Distribution Treaty. Hooray for the President!

Yesterday, as many have heard, Trump said: “In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord…”

Well that’s terrific, or at least it would have been if he had ended there and simply said “thank you and have a nice day.” But he didn’t. His campaign promise was to pull out completely and leave it at that.

Yet he kind of left the door open by next saying: “…but begin negotiations to reenter either the Paris Accord or really an entirely new transaction, on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers…”

Well, kudos to the President for mentioning “its taxpayers.” When have we heard a President mention the people who fit the bill when discussing international affairs? I certainly don’t recall a time. read more

Limbaugh Gets It – Is it Global Warming, or is it Cooling?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh went off again over the myth of man caused global warming and this bogus Paris Climate Accord. So serious is this, that Rush, a hardcore Trump supporter, said that if Trump signs onto the Paris Climate Agreement, he may dump-Trump.

“It is crucial that the president not only not participate in this, he must actively withdraw from it … this is why the president — if he signs on to this, folks, I don’t know how I can continue to support him in other things.” Ditto for me.

He mentioned as proof that global warming is a hoax, the fact that the leftist media switches every several years between catastrophic warming and cooling. He’s right, although the cycle is actually between 30 and 40 years. And there is a cycle.

In fact, we have been warned of differing catastrophic climate change four times in just the past 120 or so years.

So let’s hop into the way-back machine or maybe Doc’s DeLorean. Let us take a journey in time via the irrefutable written record. Remember, if it’s in print it must be true. I’ll punch in the turn of the century, last century.

From the late 1800’s through the 1920’s Americans were convinced, via the print media, that we were heading for the next ICE AGE. Yes, Global Cooling! In 1895 the New York Times (the paper of record) wrote, “Geologists think the world may be frozen up again”. In 1912 the L.A. Times reported, “The fifth Ice Age is on the way”. Chicago Tribune, 1923: “Scientists say Arctic Ice will wipe out Canada all the way down to the Great Lakes”. 1924, New York Times: “Signs of a new Ice Age”. This reporting continued through the balance of the ’20’s. read more

Cruz Want’s Trump to Shread the Paris Climate Agreement

from CNN: (Yep – CNN – Go Figure)

OP-Ed from Ted Cruz:

Trump should withdraw from Paris climate pact

Following a successful international tour and the G-7 Summit in Italy, President Trump has an opportunity to relieve our nation of the unfair and economically devastating requirements of the Paris Agreement, the United Nations climate treaty he pledged to rip up during the campaign.

And as soon as possible, President Trump should act on — and keep — his campaign promise.

The agreement, signed by the Obama administration last year, would commit the United States to drastically reducing its carbon emissions while allowing some countries to increase theirs. This, all while doing nothing to meaningfully decrease global temperatures. read more

Trump’s Budget Cuts NO Spending

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Scroll Down for Audio Version

President Trump has released his fiscal 2018 budget proposal and it seems the world may end because of it – maybe as early as Memorial Day.

Republicans and Democrats couldn’t wait to get to the nearest microphone or reporter to wail about draconian budget cuts to this or that department. Both Parties are nauseatingly hyperbolic. This we expect from the socialist Dems, but some of the Republicans are equally insane.

The Huffington Post reports of Lindsey Graham going off the deep end over proposed cuts to the State Department.

“Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Tuesday that if ‘fully implemented,’ President Donald Trump’s proposed cuts to State Department funding would lead to ‘a lot of Benghazi situations,’ writes the HuffPo. Graham also said the U.S. can’t win wars ‘with hard power alone,’ referring to an approach focused on the heavy use of military force.”

What an idiot. How else do you win wars you weenie? Through diplomacy? The State Department could be dissolved tomorrow and we’d all be the better for it. They are useless.

Now I would expect this type of aggrandizement from the Democrats, for whom there will never be enough cash, no matter how much is offered up. But the Republicans are supposed to be different – are they not? Evidently not. When it comes right down to it, there is really only one difference between Republican and Democrat budgets, and that’s the size of the taxpayer soaking. read more
