WND Exclusive – HAVE PAMPERED PLAYERS RUINED AMERICA’S PASTIME?

The spineless NFL has been party to its own demise for a while now. Professional football has been the pre-eminent sport in America for years, far outpacing the MLB, NHL and the NBA. It’s grown at such a pace as to cause many to believe it too big and certainly too popular to fail.

Well, it may be too big to fail completely, but popularity is a fickle mistress.

Viewership is down for a variety of reasons. Fans, particularly the younger set, are simply not watching traditional network TV.

“Americans under the age of 30 now watch almost 50 percent fewer hours of traditional TV than they did in 2010,” reports the Atlantic.

There is a dearth of heroes taking the field – many less stand-out superstars than in years gone by. They’ve been replaced with overcompensated mediocrity. read more

Huckabee Sanders Guilty of Unmasking ESPN

For Years Rush Limbaugh has said that quite often, the mainstream sports media is even more liberal than are their news media counterparts.

And this is no more conspicuous than the management and on screen personalities at ESPN.

It’s evidently just fine with ESPN for their employee, Jemele Hill, to call President Trump a white supremacist, but heaven forbid any of their people espouse a viewpoint other than leftist.

And worse than Linda Cohn being suspended for pointing out the obvious – that ESPN is losing audience due to their leftist politics, Kurt Schilling fired for espousing a conservative view, or the overreaction over Anthony Frederico’s “Chink in the Armor” statement, is someone daring to point out ESPN’s hypocrisy.

This however, may be lost on ESPN, as it is with all leftists, for I don’t believe the term hypocrisy is in the liberal dictionary. read more

Video Podcast – Ben Shapiro Speaks – No One Riots

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Conservative Commentator, author and all around smart guy, Ben Shapiro, was finally given the opportunity to speak on the campus of UC Berkeley a couple of days ago.

The run up to, during and after his speech was an expensive and logistical nightmare. All so one conservative could give one speech on an ultra-liberal college campus.

Shapiro says it cost around $600,000 for police to protect the event. Because of the heavy police presence, it went off with few problems. Think about that. This was a single speech given by a single conservative. It wasn’t a gathering of conservative thinkers – not a round table or conference. It was one guy.

Unlike previous Conservative speakers, Shapiro, and the campus, was afforded the protection necessary for the speech to go off virtually without a hitch. read more

Leftist Latinos Demand End to Free Speech

by: the Common Constitutionalist

It’s a fact – possibly provable by science – that what little common sense many high school kids have, rapidly fades away when they go off to college. With any and all parental supervision removed, students believe they have license to be stupid.

Such it was at Cornell University, when a student and member of the Zeta Psi fraternity was heard chanting, “build that wall.”

The chant was heard, “near the Latino Living Center early Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours after President Donald Trump ordered the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA] program,” writes the Cornell Daily Sun.

To clarify the above statement, as the Cornell Daily Sun will surely not, President Trump did not “end” the DACA program. He suspended it for six months to allow the correct branch of government, the Legislative, to craft a lawful solution.

They, like all other leftist journals, would prefer their readers to believe racist Trump just ended it. I’m not defending Trump’s decision. As it was an illegal action, I think he should have just ended it and left it at that, but I’m not president. read more

Our Religious Freedom Falls in the Lap of the Supreme Court

The supreme Court is set to begin its next session in October. It has a full docket when it gavels in. Among them are a couple Labor Relations/Arbitration cases, a plethora of immigration/refugee cases, and one which has “not been set for argument” as of yet.

Case No. 16-111 is “Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.”

This case has become a familiar refrain to those who follow this nonsense – like me and all of you. It’s another case of religious freedom vs. the “rights” of homosexuals to demand a curtailment of religious freedom. I wonder what side the Colorado Civil Rights Commission falls on. Gee – I wonder.

In 2012, a happy homosexual couple, Charlie Craig and David Mullins, wished for Masterpiece Cakeshop to craft a wedding cake to commemorate the blessed event. “But Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, declined to make the cake for Mullins and Craig, saying that doing so would violate his religious beliefs. The couple then filed a complaint with Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission, arguing that Phillips’ actions violated the state’s Anti-Discrimination Act, which prohibits businesses from refusing service based on race, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation,” wrote MSNBC

David Mullins said in an interview that, “We’re not trying to shut down Masterpiece Cake Shop. We want Masterpiece Cake shop’s policy toward gays and weddings, gay weddings, to change.” read more

High School Banned all Flags on Vehicles

from the Blaze:

HS bans flags on cars, then students drive in flying Old Glory. The outcome may get you saluting.

After a Minnesota high school banned all flags on vehicles, students showed up Wednesday with a big message for the administration. After meeting with the protest leaders, the administrators agreed to withdraw the flag ban. (Image source: KARE-TV video screenshot)

Violence is Not a Four Letter Word

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Tim Larkin, founder of Target Focus Training (TFT), which is part of my training regimen, has a new book that has sparked a great deal of controversy. So much so that his publisher originally refused to use the title Tim had chosen, which is “When Violence is the Answer.” Mr. Larkin prevailed.

And I can see why. In today’s enlightened society we are taught from a young age that violence is always bad, and violence is never the answer. We are taught to use our words, not our fists – that diplomacy will win the day.

Of course this way of thinking only breeds victims. And when I say breeds, I mean literally – we are breeding victims. Everyone wants to be protected, but very few anymore are willing to even contemplate getting their hands dirty, being the protector.

What people don’t understand is that it is okay and even necessary to, at times, be violent. The problem lies in the perspective of violence. Most don’t even have to witness violence to recoil. Americans have been conditioned to cringe at the mere mention of the word. It’s a control, or Pavlovian response, much like the ‘N’ word. The word itself is evil, therefore anyone who advocates for violence, regardless of context, must by extension be evil. read more

Video Podcast – I’m Dreamin of an End to DACA

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Today I discuss DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

President Trump has plans to end Obama’s signature program this Tuesday. Let’s hope he does. I explain why DACA is unfair to Americans and frankly is illegal and unconstitutional. Recall that the program was cooked up and sent out as a memo, called an Executive Action.

I also discuss Florida Governor Rick Scott’s convoluted position in favoring the DACA program. He wants to make the Dream Act permanent. Good for him – NOT. read more

WND Exclusive – In Defense of History’s ‘Imperialistic’ Explorers

We on the right – I mean the real right – have been insisting that the tearing down of statues and monuments from the Civil War era would not end there. The leftist radicals would inevitably turn their wrath beyond Civil War white racists and direct their hatred to any white American slave owner. As we’ve seen and heard, this naturally extends to whites of the Revolutionary era, who are simultaneously celebrated heroes and damnable slave owners.

And then we wondered – what’s next after that? Could there possibly be a next? Well, wonder no more.

Now, normally, when wacky ideas emanate from the left, they originate in Europe, leapfrog to California and then make their way across the U.S. to negatively affect the rest of us. read more

So the President Pardoned Sheriff Joe – So What

By: the Common Constitutionalist

I don’t often disagree with the Washington Examiner, but I’m afraid I must this time.

They posted an article entitled, “Trump, once the law and order candidate, embraces lawless disorder with Arpaio pardon.”

So now it’s not only the left who are piling on Joe Arpaio and President Trump, but those on the right are joining the chorus.

You would expect that Trump would have received mass-condemnation from the left. After all, they are the soft-on crime party of illegal aliens. However, many on the supposed right, or who at least call themselves Republicans, are also screeching at Trump’s pardon of the former Maricopa County sheriff.

“The speaker does not agree with the decision,” Doug Andres, spokesman for Speaker Paul Ryan said. “Law-enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon.”

And what is all this hubbub about? Why did Sheriff Joe have to be pardoned? He was found guilty of criminal contempt by a leftist Clinton appointee, U.S. District Court judge Susan Bolton. She found him guilty of defying her order to cease the “profiling” of Latinos. read more
