Trump – the Sour Patch President

The world may actually melt down due to Donald Trump’s harsh words of our intelligence community and at the same time, praise of Vladimir Putin.

As an aside – isn’t it funny how the left are all of the sudden the greatest boosters of the American intelligence community, when back in the Bush era the left couldn’t lambast them enough for dragging us into the Iraq war under false pretences. Yet now they’re unassailable. Just thought that illuminating.

Back to that fiend Trump.

There’s a TV commercial that’s been airing recently – either on Netflix or Amazon. Anywho, it’s for a candy. They call it Sour Patch candy. My kids used to eat it. The commercial describes the candy as, “first they’re sour, then they’re sweet.” First the candy, which is animated in the commercial, does something bad (sour), but then follows up by doing something good (sweet). That’s Trump.
And this silly candy analogy could very well have described the day between the two leaders. Trump could have taken Putin to the woodshed during their private meeting, and then followed up the lashing with effusive public praise. How the heck do we know? read more

Dave Rubin Asks: Are You Tolerant?

Are you tolerant? I mean are you tolerant of other points of view? Do you accept that not everyone thinks and acts the same and that, within reason, we should all be able to live and let live?

If so, you cannot be a modern day liberal. Today’s leftist cannot and will not tolerate any deviation from the prescribed ideology.

Liberal Dave Rubin for Prager University describes this to a tee:

Have We Finally Found a Democrat Red Line?

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

In recent years, there has not been a red line in the sand the democrats would not cross. In foreign policy, Obama would bow and curtsy to every tin-pot thug and dictator, and give them most anything they desired of the United States. Even self-imposed “red lines” were fair game.

Domestically, nothing was too radical – no line they wouldn’t cross. And dealing with spineless Republicans made it that much easier.

But then a funny thing happened. Trump got elected and sent the left into a manic nosedive. From there, the rhetoric of the left just became more and more vitriolic. No low appeared too low for leftist politicians, pundits or “journalists.”

Then another funny thing happened. The illegal alien crossings began ramping up and we suddenly had an alien epidemic on the border. And the dems finally had their issue. They figured with their mastery of heart-string tugging, they would force The Donald to hoist with his own petard. The left had the issue to bring the “hard-line,” anti-immigrant, jingoist leader to his knees.

And for a while, it appeared to be working. But the left is nothing if not predictable. Trump didn’t cave as expected – like good Republicans should. He pushed back. Leftists can’t deal with push-back. It just makes them behave more radically unhinged. read more

Podcast – The Left’s Dishonesty at the Border

by: Brent Smith at The Common Constitutionalist

By now, most of us have seen the recent cover of Time magazine with Trump and the little girl, and the original photo at the border.

You may also know that the Time cover is a photoshopped fraud. But what you may not know is that the original photo also is a fraudulent representation of events.

On this episode I explain that actual events surrounding the photo are even more complicated than they seem. read more

Black Carjacking Hero of Chicago

from the American Thinker:

Media Lining Up to Defend Black Teen Shot in Carjacking, Attempted Murder

What’s it like to feel powerless?

A lieutenant in the Chicago Fire Department may find out.  The fireman committed the grave sin of defending himself and his property from an aggressor.  Now he is the target of a social media campaign to ex post facto punish him for having the audacity to protect what is rightfully his.

Last summer, the unidentified firefighter left his Jeep idling on the West Side of the city (admittedly, not a bright thing to do anywhere in Chicago) when it was carjacked by 17-year-old Charles Macklin.

Trump Must Draw a Red Line in the Sand

I remember when my kids were little and my wife (now ex-wife) and I both worked. We had to drop the kids off at daycare. For a period of time, one or the other or both, would wail, crying for Mommy and/or Daddy, like we abandoned them. We felt bad – her more than me – but we got over it, knowing we would be reunited with the little tikes at the end of the day.

But what if we had to drop them off, not at daycare, but life-care, with little to no prospect of seeing them ever again? I would say not a chance, as would hopefully the overwhelming majority of parents.

Short of tossing them off a train that’s traveling to a death camp, what the hell kind of parent would voluntarily separate from their children. And I don’t mean to save them from just potential harm. I mean to save them from certain death.

But this is what the left is trying to convince us of – that Honduras, Guatemala and el Salvador have all descended into some sort of Khmer Rouge type killing fields. Central American countries are in fact the murder capitals of the world, but it is not certain death to stay there, as it was by being a Jew in Nazi Germany, or anyone who opposed Stalin or Mao, or Pol Pot, leader of the aforementioned Khmer Rouge. read more

The Leftist Media Lie about Illegal Immigrant Families – What did We Expect

from Ben Shapiro at the Daily Wire:

But not a word from the media or any democrat at the time!

The Media Are Lying About Trump Separating Illegal Immigrant Families. Here’s The Truth.

Over the weekend, the media went insane over the supposed Trump administration policy of separating illegal immigrant parents from their children. According to the media, Trump could with one quick fix simply prevent the separation of children from their parents; according to the media, all Trump has to do is wave his magic wand, and all will be well.

This is a lie.

More specifically, it’s several lies.

1. Trump Created Separation Of Children From Illegal Immigrant Parents. This is plainly false. In 1997, the federal government made an agreement in a case called Flores not to keep unaccompanied illegal immigrant children in custody beyond 20 days. The settlement said nothing about accompanied illegal immigrant children – children who crossed the border with their parents. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals then ruled that accompanied children also could not be held in custody under the terms of the settlement. This meant that the government either had to release whole families, or that the government had to separate parents from children.

2. Immigrants Seeking Asylum Are Being Punished For Seeking Asylum. This is plainly untrue as well. Immigrants who come to points of entry to seek asylum aren’t actually illegally in the country – they’re not arrested. They’re processed through ICE, and their children stay with them. If, however, illegal immigrants cross the border illegally, the Trump administration now treats them as criminals. If they choose deportation, they aren’t separated from their kids; if they choose to apply for asylum, they stay in the country longer than 20 days, and their kids have to be removed by operation of law.

3. The Trump Facilities Are Awful Thanks To Trump. They may be awful, but they were just as awful under President Obama. These are pictures from Brandon Darby of Breitbart circa 2014:

ESPN Shows Media Double Standard

Both the Super Bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles and the NBA champion Golden State Warriors have opted not to visit president Trump at the White House. And Trump is okay with that. If they don’t want to be there, he doesn’t want them. Predictably the leftist media is hailing the two team decisions as some sort of triumph. But it wasn’t that way just a half a dozen years ago.

from The Right Scoop:

Here’s what ESPN said when a hockey

player protested the visit to OBAMA’S White House…

In case you wanted any more evidence of the double standard that ESPN has for the right and the left, someone dug up an article from years back where they absolutely slammed a white NHL player for protesting the visit to the White House – when it was Obama’s term. read more

SPLC is the Arbiter of Acceptable Speech

Every position the Southern Poverty Law Center disagrees with is considered hate speech yet all these sites rely on them to determine was content is and is not acceptable. Ridiculous!

from the Daily Caller:

EXCLUSIVE: FACEBOOK, AMAZON, GOOGLE AND TWITTER ALL WORK WITH LEFT-WING SPLC

Four of the world’s biggest tech platforms have working partnerships with a left-wing nonprofit that has a track record of inaccuracies and routinely labels conservative organizations as “hate groups.”

Facebook, Amazon, Google and Twitter all work with or consult the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in policing their platforms for “hate speech” or “hate groups,” a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found. read more
