Podcast – The Kickoff of the Jihad Olympics – Is Obama House Hunting in DC

In this episode, I discuss the two recent terror attacks by ISIS and al-Qaeda in Paris and Mali respectively. Yes, it’s the Jihad Olympics and the two major competitors are the aforementioned ISIS and a resurging al-Qaeda, both vying for the Gold Medal. A Gold Medal performance will be determined by the severity of attacks on the United States – Silver for Europe and other Western nations and Bronze for less significant targets. This competition between the two terror groups may get ugly and that’s bad news for the rest of us.

And, are the Obamas house hunting in Washington D.C. yet? While most presidents happily sail off into the sunset to lead lives of relative anonymity, this president will remain in D.C. to agitate against the next Executive. It’s what he was trained to do and neither he, nor the media will sit by quietly and let his successor undo any of his disastrous policies or Executive Orders. read more

Is That What Trump Said?

As you all know, I am not a Trump guy, but just as I came to the defense of Ben Carson as the press (and talking heads) lambaste him over his suggestion that the Chinese are in Syria, they, as well as every other lazy, ill-informed fool, are now murdering Trump over something he didn’t say. Everyone has taken one sound bite out of context, without any further examination of what was actually said and run with it as if it were gospel.  read more

Don’t Vote For Ben – He’s a Buffoon

by: the Common Constitutionalist

According to the New York Times, the paper of record don’t cha know, Dr. Ben Carson is utterly clueless, because he said the Chinese were in Syria. What a maroon! (hat tip Bugs Bunny)

Now the first thing I noticed about the New York Times piece is their outright refusal to call Ben Carson doctor. His name was evoked several times in the rather lengthy piece and each time they used Mr., not Dr.

I thought that odd. Could it be that the Times is so threatened by Dr. Carson, a black neurosurgeon, that they felt the need to delegitimize him by demoting him to simply a Mister? Again, I thought this purposeful omission rather curious.

Now, I don’t know if the Chinese are physically in Syria, and frankly neither does anyone else, to be certain. We can assume they are not because no one else has mentioned them, but that doesn’t prove Dr. Carson is ill-informed or lying or both.

The Times begins by writing that, “Ben Carson’s remarks on foreign policy have repeatedly raised questions about his grasp of the subject, but never more seriously than in the past week, when he wrongly asserted that China had intervened militarily in Syria and then failed, on national television, to name the countries he would call on to form a coalition to fight the Islamic State.” Actually, that’s not what he said. And as to the “coalition” question, his answer was simply to lead from the front. Begin an offensive campaign – others will see you’re serious and follow your lead – and voila – you have a coalition.

Now I’m not a Carson guy, but who is to say the Chinese aren’t there in some form or another. Are we to take only the word of the “experts” in the Obama administration – you know – the same ones who insist there is no threat of ISIS within the mass “refugee” infiltration into the United States? You mean those guys. read more

Podcast – The House Freedom Caucus Holds America Hostage – Ben Carsons Holocaust Remarks – Hitler Hits the Streets in Germany

by: the Common Constitutionalist

In this episode, Representative Trent Franks (R-AZ) defends the 40 member evil right-wing House Freedom Caucus that, according to left, is holding the nation hostage with their extremist views and refusal to “compromise.” Ben Carson defends his position on the Holocaust – how armed Jews may have possibly diminished Hitler’s grand plan of extermination, and Adolf Hitler is back and wandering the streets of Germany, much to delight of some. read more

The Left Purposely Pits One Conservative Against Another

by: the Common Constitutionalist

(inspiration provided by Mark Levin)

So Ben Carson, as a presidential candidate, is evidently no longer allowed to have a personal opinion on any matter regarding the new front of the left’s civil rights movement. Sure, Carson is black and all – but we moved on from that. Muslim rights are now where it’s at!

Carson’s personal opinion is that he wouldn’t advocate for a Muslim to become president. This is his personal opinion and has nothing at all to do with Article VI of the Constitution, and the document as a whole, which deals exclusively with the responsibilities of and restrictions on the government, not the individual, or his or her opinion.

When asked by Chuck Todd whether a president’s faith should matter, Carson never said a Muslim should be prohibited from holding the office, just that he would not advocate for it.

Carson didn’t and hasn’t said that the government can prevent a Muslim from being president.

But either the press doesn’t understand the difference or they are the back-stabbing “gotcha” sacks of dirt we know them to be. Which one is it? Well, it’s probably the latter. This appears to be a conscious effort to drive a wedge between two conservatives. Want proof? read more

How Will Corporate America Ever Survive Without the Export-Import Bank?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

To listen to the wails from Democrats and the socialistic “financial media,” you’d think business will cease to exist in America. Certainly American corporations will no longer be able to compete on a global scale without the help of our government.

You see, the big meanie conservative Republicans in the House allowed the Export-Import bank authorization to lapse – so now, other than previously agreed-upon commitments, the bank is no more.

Last week General Electric, one of the largest corporations on the planet, “announced it would create 500 jobs in France instead of the United States because it can no longer access the kind of financing once offered by the now shuttered agency.”

“Congress left us no choice when it failed to reauthorize the Ex-Im bank this summer,” said John Rice, G.E.’s vice chairman. You do have a choice Mr. Rice – but I’ll address that in a bit.

The liberal Fiscal Times felt the need to add: “but G.E.’s announcements suggest that more companies may start blaming Congress for destroying American jobs.”

Guess they got that right out of the Democrat playbook. It is widely known that the spineless Republican leadership can’t stomach criticism. But to that, my man Ted Cruz said: “I understand the crony capitalism is an easier way to do business, simply getting politicians in Washington to carve out billions in favors for giant corporations, but it’s not what Congress should be doing.” read more

Trump Is a Fitting End to the Week of No

by: the Common Constitutionalist

This past week seemed to be the week of no. As predicted by anyone with any common sense willing to really look at the overall fiscal health of America and the world – surprise surprise – the Fed announced there will be no interest rate hike. This despite rumors that there might be one this time around.

But of course there wasn’t. Everyone knew it. Not even the stock market reacted this time. Now there are rumors that there won’t be even a hint of one for the foreseeable future. Ahh – the Obama recovery – almost 8 years along.

Then there was the assurance (again) from Mitch McConnell that there will be no government shut down. Now there’s a shocker! Under no circumstance will McConnell allow for a shut down. Not over spending and certainly not over Planned Parenthood (those pesky social issues).

But you just wait until after the Republicans take the White House. Then he’ll come out guns a-blazin! Right.

And of course, to end the week – there still has been no apology from The Donald for something he didn’t say. The nerve of him not apologizing for something he didn’t say. read more

Debate Numero Uno

by: the Common Constitutionalist

On Thursday rumor had it that instructions had gone out from the RNC or other establishment inner circles to take Trump out during Thursday night’s debate. Those of us who heard the rumor figured one or more of the candidates would be charged with the task.

Who knew it would turn out to be the Fox News team of moderators – or at least two of the three. As it turned out, not one candidate stepped up to take down Trump in any sustained way. It was left up to the two moderators Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly. Bret Baier appeared to remain above the fray.

Personally, I haven’t liked Wallace for years. He’s been on the establishment team for a while now. But Kelly was a major disappointment. I thought she was better, and fairer than this. But she too has shown herself to be just another establishment toady.

From the very beginning of the debate, I recall talking out loud to the TV, saying that this was going to be a night of gotcha questions. And that’s what it turned out to be. Whoever the establishment wanted targeted would be taken out, and tonight it was Trump. Next time and maybe someone else.

But the other candidates either didn’t get the memo or simply chose not to play the game. They seemed content to just let it play out. Her motivation seemed apparent when Kelly asked Trump to explain his one-man war on women. When he tried to make a joke of it, she turned cold as ice. She acted like a rhymes-with-witch. At that point it appeared to be a perfect opportunity for one of the other big tent candidates to join in the fray. But none did. read more

Breast-Feeding the Children – At Least Those Who Survive

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Well, the left is predictable if nothing else. Surprise – it’s the kickoff to “World Breast-Feeding Week.” What an odd coincidence that an article just happened to be posted at the New York Times just days before the commencement of “World Breast-Feeding Week.”

We’ve all heard the claim by attorney Elizabeth Beck that Donald Trump had an absolute meltdown during a 2011 deposition. The innocent Ms. Beck merely asked if she could take an hour break to pump some milk for her three-month-old daughter.

That’s when Trump “got up, his face got red, he shook his finger at me and screamed, ‘You’re disgusting, you’re disgusting,’ and he ran out of there,” Beck told CNN.

Yet both Trump and his attorney recall the incident a bit differently. Attorney Allen Garten said, “She was disgusting. She was attempting to breast-feed – to pump in the middle of a deposition, in a deposition room with five lawyers and was not excusing herself.” Garten said that Beck had “orchestrated the stunt because, ‘she ran out of questions and she didn’t know what to do.’”

Beck said Trump displayed a “lack of self-control,” and added, “What kind of leader of the United States would that be? Is he going to behave that way when these negotiating treaties with China or Russia?” read more

Whites Justify Police Brutality

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Toya Graham is not a hero. She’s a mom. She’s a parent who apparently cares about the safety and growth of her son. Yet many have labeled their hero for caring enough to run after the sun she recognized by the pants he was wearing – slap him around and drag him home.

So why have some labeled her a hero mom? Well, a hero is unusual – defined as a person of distinguished courage, bravery and one of noble quality. I frankly don’t know if she possesses any of these qualities. So although not a hero, in my opinion, Toya appears heroic because in this wusified day and age, her actions are indeed unusual, appearing courageous, and in fact frowned upon by most in today’s society. So much that it has caused consternation among those in the liberal media. And for conservatives, any action that causes the lefts panties to bunch is usually considered courageous, even heroic.

One example of bunched panties is Joan Walsh of Salon.com who writes: “Baltimore’s hero mom has a name. It’s Toya Graham. And the woman lionized nationwide for beating her 16-year-old son on camera, and dragging him away from Monday night’s riots, doesn’t feel at all like hero.”

Graham did admit during an interview on CBS This Morning that she “just lost it.” And what the heck is wrong with that? It’s not as if her 16-year-old son simply played hooky from school for the day. He was out in the middle of a potentially dangerous and uncertain situation. Frankly, if the mom didn’t freak out and “lose it” we should all be suspect of her. read more
