WND Exclusive – ANOTHER COMPROMISE PLAN FOR THE WALL

by: Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

I’ve heard many conservative commentators and pundits speaking about Trump’s national emergency powers and how he should use them.

Top of the list appears to be this scenario.

Negotiations, if you can even call them that, have gone nowhere. So, it’s posited, Trump will appear to back down and agree to end the shutdown – after which he will then invoke his presidential authority under the 1976 National Emergencies Act, [50 U.S.C. 1601, 1621, 1622] and declare a national emergency on the border, secure funding from a number of government sources and get the wall built.

Rather, Trump should declare an emergency prior to signing an agreement to end the government shutdown. Anything less would be ill-advised. read more

Witless Jim Acosta Makes Trump’s Border Barrier Argument for Him

Jim Acosta makes Trump point a border walls/fences, etc! Question is – does he know how foolish he looks, or is it a case of bad press is better than none at all.

Careful Democrats – You’re Hypocrisy is Showing

President Trump’s performance from the Oval Office on Tuesday was OK to good. It wasn’t great – it wasn’t Reganesque. Some might say he looked uncomfortable and wooden.

But that’s not Trump’s fault. This isn’t what he does. What he does well is play to the people.

The public is used to the boisterous Trump – animated, adlibbing at rallies and looking at home. Despite having years of experience as star of the Apprentice, he did not appear at ease in front of the lone camera.

However, he looked sincere, because he is sincere. For him, and us who support him, this has nothing at all to do with politics. This is about safety, security, fairness and the rule of law. Easily his best line of the night: “Some have suggested a barrier is immoral. But then why do politicians build walls, fences and gates around their homes? They don’t do it because they hate the people on the outside — they do it because they love the people on the inside.” read more

from the Blaze:

De Blasio rolls out universal health care plan for all NYC residents, including illegal immigrants

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a universal health care plan on Tuesday, promising affordable medical coverage to all residents, regardless of citizenship status. But details were scant on how the program will be funded.

What are the details?

Congress Already Granted Trump the Power to Build the Wall

from Conservative Review:

Yes, the president has the authority to build the wall

Presidents are free to deploy our troops to 140 countries without congressional authorization and build all sorts of wall and infrastructure in these countries, yet we are told a president can’t take a basic defensive action to repel an invasion of our own country: the construction of a wall twice authorized and even mandated by Congress. In reality, while it would be better for Congress to explicitly fund a new wall, the president is right to leverage the debate by threatening to use power Congress has already delegated to at least begin constructing portions of the wall. Whether we agree with such delegation or not, there is no more appropriate situation in which it should be used than with our own border. read more

WND Exclusive – OF CARAVANS AND WALLS

16 Days of government shutdown and still counting.

by Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

Well, the government is still shutdown. And all over a paltry $5 billion to partially fund more of the southern border wall, which, according to Democrats, is expensive, ineffective and immoral. Back in April 2017, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaking with NBC’s Chuck Todd, said that all this talk about building a wall is just Trump admitting that he can’t control our border. Yes, like his predecessors did such a great job.

Meanwhile there’s a new caravan already on the move. The original estimated date of departure from Honduras was to be Jan. 15, 2019. But Mexico News reported that it was on its way as of Dec. 24.

It is said to be 15,000 strong. If this is anywhere near accurate, by the time the caravan makes it through Guatemala and El Salvador, it could be double that size. The interesting thing about this caravan is, according to sources, many have no plans to come to the United States. read more

More Latinos Support the GOP – And There’s Room to Grow Further

President Trump’s popularity among voters has remained relatively consistent over the past couple of years. The haters on the left are baffled by this.

They don’t like it, but I think they’ve accepted the loyalty to and adoration of him by his hard-core supporters. It’s the others they don’t get. Why hasn’t he lost these voters?

Speaking for myself and many like me, we haven’t abandoned him because we’ve successfully been able to separate his policies from his antics.

And they don’t like this either, but the left may also be coming to accept this phenomenon.

What they can’t understand, accept or even tolerate is the support he has garnered among some minority groups. And worse is the fact that it has not waned. read more

Somali Immigrants Make Demands of Amazon

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Despite being THE online powerhouse and a great place to find virtually anything, Amazon is apparently not the best place to work, at least for some.

I’m sure many of us have read and heard multiple accounts of employees anonymously complaining of working conditions and “unreasonable” production demands.

But it seems none more than the Muslim community.

Adherent Muslims are required to pray five times a day, every day. If anyone is interested, the five prayers are as follows:

Fajr – the dawn prayer.
Dhuhr – the noon prayer.
Asr – the afternoon prayer.
Maghrib – the sunset prayer.
Isha’a – the night prayer.

According to Vox.com, Amazon warehouse workers get two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break each shift, per federal regulation. Considering how often Muslims must pray, this doesn’t give them anytime to do anything else. So they have to make a choice. Or do they? read more

Illegals are Surrendering in Record Numbers – Because they Understand Catch and Release

from Conservative Review:

Border reality: A caravan crosses every day

A caravan a day makes our sovereignty go away.

If you want to see what a real government shutdown looks like, look at what is going on at our border. And it’s a much bigger problem than the news-covered caravan parked south of San Diego. It’s the equivalent of a caravan quietly crossing our border every day. Because Pelosi and Schumer refuse to end catch-and-release policies, the drug cartels are using our border agents to complete the criminal conspiracy killing our citizens.

On Tuesday, Kevin McAleenan, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, testified before the Senate that 3,029 illegals were apprehended at the border on December 3, the biggest single-day number in years. That would be a pace of over 1.1 million a year. The Arizona Republic is reporting that record numbers of Guatemalan families are crossing in the Yuma sector just west of San Luis where the Colorado River has dried up. There are no pedestrian fences in that part of the Yuma sector, and they are coming right over the dried-up river to surrender themselves to agents. read more

Ami Goes South of the Border

A few days ago, Prager University released another video on YouTube. This segment is about, what else, the caravan. Ami Horowitz, American documentary filmmaker, and writer, producer, and director of Ami on the Streets, left the comfort of the United States and headed South to join the caravan in the process of moving through Mexico to our Southern border. Embedded with caravan, he learned some rather revealing things.
