Don’t Believe the Left Concerning Dr. King’s Stance on Immigration

Yesterday was a day of remembrance for all Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did to advance the cause of racial equality in America.

Unfortunately, over the years his message of unity has been hijacked by the radical left. So much so that a white conservative is no longer even allowed to quote his words verbatim without being pilloried by the media and leftist activists.

Take, for example what Vive President Mike Pence said on MLK day. When speaking of border security, Pence quoted a single line from King. “…now is the time to make real the promises of democracy.” He dovetailed that sentiment into a call to democrats to, “Come to the table in a spirit of good faith. We’ll secure our border, we’ll reopen our government.”

This simple quote sparked a visceral reaction from the left including King’s son, Martin Luther King III. read more

WND Exclusive – Is the American Experiment About to Implode?

from Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

Although it is often overused by us on the right – I’m thankful to be an American. It sounds cheesy and jingoistic. It may be, but

that doesn’t make it any less true, particularly when you know American history and what our forefathers had to go through to achieve it. And no, this will not be a history lesson. Not much of one anyway.

I wish I could travel back in time, not to change anything, but just to thank the founders for what they did, to thank them for their foresight. I’d like to assure them that they did the right thing, that they didn’t go through all that for nothing, that hundreds of years later we are still talking about it, still quoting them and trying to live their ideal. read more

Video Podcast – Climate Change Collapsed an Empire – Democrat Amendments

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Akkadia was the world’s first empire.

It was established in Mesopotamia around 4,300 years ago after its ruler, Sargon of Akkad, united a series of independent city states.

Yet after just 100 years, the empire collapsed due to … Climate Change.

But when they tried to flee the empire they discovered their enemies to the South had built a border wall to keep them out.

Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee introduced two Constitutional Amendments after the dems took back the House.

The first is to limit the President’s Constitutional authority to grant pardons. Like everything for the next two years, it’s all to hamper Trump’s presidential powers.

The second is to abolish the Electoral College. Democrats wish elections of the President to be determined only by popular vote. read more

Why Did Jefferson Own a Koran?

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

I read an article yesterday from the Daily Wire which I was just going to reprint. Then I read it and thought, rather than just post the article, I should set the record straight by adding some context.

The article is simply about newly elected Muslim Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who decided to take the oath of office using, not the Bible, but the Koran. And not just any Koran, but Thomas Jefferson’s Koran.

I encourage you to first read the Daily Wire piece, which gives an accounting, without commentary, of the swearing in and why she used Jefferson’s Koran.

Then come back and read the actual historical accounting of why Thomas Jefferson owned a Koran.

For more than a century and a half prior to America declaring its independence from Great Britain, the Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coast (North Africa) had been invading European settlements, villages and capturing merchant vessels from the Mediterranean Sea, to the Atlantic coast of Europe and the English Channel. Thousands upon thousands of Europeans were sold into slavery as laborers and concubines throughout the Islamic world. Most would never be seen again. read more

Fully Harnessed Horse Found at Pompeii

Remains of a horse that was killed while wearing its harness during the 79 AD eruption of Mount Vesuvius have been discovered by archaeologists.

The majestic animal was tall, well-groomed and had a saddle fitted with richly decorated bronze trimmings, experts have revealed.

The catastrophic eruption produced hundreds of tonnes of lava and toxic gas which killed and petrified the animal, as well as the other horses in the stable.

It was found in the grounds of a large villa in a Pompeii suburb which scientists say may have belonged to a high-ranking military official. read more

World War One Changed Everything

Major wars have a tendency to define, or redefine history. But Historian and author Andrew Roberts argues that there was no

There was Nothing Great About it!

more definitive than World War One. In the following Prager University video, Roberts explains, correctly in my opinion, that World War I forever changed the landscape around the world. It had as much of a negative impact as did the American Revolution had a positive – maybe more.

And it all began with the assassination of one man in 1914 – Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria,  presumptive heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife Sophie. They were murdered by a Serbian nationalist. read more

WND Exclusive – BEWARE THE 2019 STOCK MARKET

by Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

Without letting the stock market naturally correct, we’re setting ourselves up for another crash.

Very quickly, let’s define the difference in a mere stock market dip, a correction and a full-on crash.

Dips happen quite frequently. It’s like taking three steps forward and one step back, which still leaves you ahead and also provides good buying opportunities. Maybe the market advances 5, 6, 7 percent and then takes a two or three-point dip. No big deal. read more

Even Terrorists Celebrate Christmas

from Conservative Review:

Dear New York Times, here’s why Hezbollah is bad

The New York Times made waves on Christmas after the “paper of record” decided to publish a piece that trumpeted the supposed good deeds of the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.

In the piece “Christmas in Lebanon: ‘Jesus isn’t only for the Christians,’” Times reporters Vivian Yee and Hwaida Saad paint a sympathetic picture of the U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Writing on Christmas in Lebanon, they report: “Even Hezbollah, the Shiite political movement and militia that the United States has branded a terrorist organization, has helped ring in the season.” read more

Video Podcast – I Agree with the President

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The government shutdown is upon us. Has anyone noticed? No? Of course no one has noticed. It’s the weekend heading into Christmas. But the government “closes” every weekend and holiday. Yet somehow, we’re supposed to fear the shutdown, because somehow it’s different than the government just closing.

Trump was right to announce that we’re pulling boots-on-the-ground out of Syria. On that, I agree. I didn’t agree with how he did it. I explain why in segment two.

In segment three, I give advice to Trump on how he should handle the shutdown by explaining, via his bully pulpit and on national TV, why the border wall is so vital. As if he needs my advice. read more
