Pokémon-Go is Un-Islamic Harmful Mania

by: the Common Constitutionalist

This year, February 27, Pokémon (pocket monster) turned 20. It was created by Japanese game designer Satoshi Tajiri for Nintendo as a video game for the old Gameboy handheld video game platform. My sons still own theirs. It was introduced to the United States in 1998. Nintendo was quick to capitalize on its popularity. The video game soon spawned a celebrated trading card game, books, movies and a television series. The tag line of Pokémon is: “Gotta Catch Em All.”

Since then, at least a few of the Pokémon characters have gained international recognition. One of the most recognized characters, called Pikachu, was made into a five story tall Thanksgiving Day parade balloon.

But like most everything else, particularly in the what-have-done-for-me-lately world of video games, all things must come to an end – except Pokémon.

Unless you have been living under a rock – and even then it would be hard to miss the hundreds and thousands of people in any given geographic area that appear to just be walking around aimlessly. The one thing they all have in common is the smartphone, which they stare into as they stroll about. read more

Barney Frank Doesn’t Care for the First Amendment Defense Act

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Former longtime Congressman from Massachusetts and liberal Lioness, Barney Fwank, returned to Capital Hill  on Tuesday to testify against passage of the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA).

I won’t bore you with the minutia of the Bill or all the ridiculous and sadly necessary legalese of the FADA, H.R. 2802, but in a nutshell, the very first sentence says it all. “To prevent discriminatory treatment of any person on the basis of views held with respect to marriage.” Is it just me, or can that be the entire Bill? In fact it does say it all. There is no need for the minutia – the details of what type of discrimination may take place.

No person can be discriminated against, which also means no organization, because they are made up of…persons. But still Congress felt the need to fill the page(s) with examples of potential discriminatory actions and findings. After all, they must justify their existence as lawmakers.

Well, needless to say, the left isn’t happy with the prospect of not being able to wantonly attack anyone who chooses not to tow the LGBT line, so they brought out of moth balls a secret weapon – super genius and homosexual, Barney Frank. read more

New State Law Will Establish a Permanent Muslim Advisory Council

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Many ethnic groups in America have representation in local, state and the federal government, but thanks to Justice Hugo Black, religion isn’t afforded the same benefit.

One can be a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and be a Christian, Hindu, Muslim, etc. For example, the Congressional Black Caucus is said to address the concerns of all black Americans, regardless of religion. (They don’t really, but this is just to make a point).

Yet due to the mythical separation of church and state, religious organizations are not allowed a seat at the government table – until now.

Once again, like a broken record, there is one “religion” that is extended privileges historically afforded to only secular groups. And of course this is Islam, or what the left has come to call it – the Muslim community – as if Muslim is now an ethnicity.

Thanks to the tireless work by the radicals of the Muslim Brotherhood, “Illinois could become the first state with a law on the books that gives Muslims a formal voice in government.” The state law would mandate that a 21 member Council “advise the governor and General Assembly on issues affecting Muslim Americans and immigrants.” read more

Lesbian Couple Harassed over Wedding Cake Incident

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Can you believe it? It’s been three years since Aaron & Melissa Klein landed in hot water over the lesbian wedding cake incident.

As you may recall, and how could anyone not, the Kleins, owners of Sweet Cakes bakery in Gresham Oregon, were charged with discriminating against a lesbian couple who wished for them to make a wedding cake.

The Kleins declined on religious grounds – but as we know, religion has no place in liberal Oregon (except Islam, I’m sure). For their impertinence, they were forced to pay $135,000 for “emotional damages” in 2015 and subsequently closing their store.

At the time, many reported it as an innocent lesbian couple who just happened to wander into Sweet Cakes and ask for a wedding cake. To that, the client stated that they don’t serve same-sex couples. This is of course, total crapola! What actually happened was: “When Rachel and Laurel arrived at sweet cakes they met with Aaron, who asked: ‘What are the names of the bride and groom?’ ‘It’s two brides,’ Rachel told him cheerfully. ‘I think we may have wasted your time,’ said Klein. ‘We don’t do same-sex weddings.’”

The now “legally” married lesbian couple did not just wander in. They targeted the Kleins, knowing, or at least suspecting, what the outcome would be, due to the Klein’s Christian beliefs. read more

Podcast – Islam is Sharia – Sharia is Islam – There can no Peace without Sharia

In this episode I dedicate the entire Podcast to Islam and the real stated goal of the religion of peace to spread Sharia throughout the world. I discuss the misconception the West has regarding the meaning of peace. Peace has a completely different meaning to us than it does to Muslims. It’s important that we learn this. And I discuss the Obama administration and its seemingly strange relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood. But is it really so strange. read more

Apparently God Bless America Offends Everyone

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Well – it appears our old buddy from the New York Daily News – the giant pansy, Gersh Kuntzman is at it again.

You remember the Gersh-meister. Oh you don’t. Well, he is quite forgettable. I wish I could.

He’s the guy (and I use that term loosely) that, after the Orlando massacre by the Islamist whack-job Omar Mateen, went in search of a scary AR-15 “assault” rifle to shoot. If you recall, Kuntzman described it as horrifying, menacing and very, very loud.

You might also recall that the gun shop owner, at least to me, appeared to be a little off his nut, but I digress. If you wish to refresh yourself on that incident, I dedicated an entire Podcast to it. You may listen to it here.

This time Kuntzman didn’t display his phobia for guns. No – this time his Marxist side is on full display, as well as his God-phobic affliction. I guess that’s kind of one in the same. Marxist/Fascists insist on strict adherence to the religion of the state only. No one or thing may come before the state. read more

The Irony of Christian Crosses at an LGBT Memorial

by: the Common Constitutionalist

And the beat goes on. It seems everyday since the horrific terrorist killings in Orlando, there has been some kind of vigil, remembrance, gathering, or memorial service. I don’t get it. I was going to say I understand it, but I don’t.

Now for all you hyper-caring individuals who think this is great, heartwarming and needed – you’re wrong. You’ve celebrated their lives and mourned their deaths for a solid week and there appears to be no sign of a let up.

It’s not that I don’t care. Of course I care – and I feel for those who have lost loved ones, but (there’s always a but) it’s like attending a week long funeral. The refrain is always the same from those who show up to these events. I wanted to show my solidarity for the LGBT community or some such thing. Okay – you’ve done that – time to move on.

Evidently not.

And so it was over just this past weekend, when a man, Greg Zanis, showed up in Orlando with 49 crosses  he made from donated materials. The 3-foot tall crosses were all painted white and adorned with a red heart and the name of each victim. read more

Muslims vs Christians – Round Whatever

by: the Common Constitutionalist

It’s been the same old song for centuries – Muslims versus Christians. Actually, I suppose more accurately put would be Muslims versus – well, everyone else – Christians, Jews, Hindus, atheists – everyone. No other religion or community can coexist with adherent Muslims.

But more and more it is the Christians who incur the wrath of Muslims worldwide. It’s almost as if Muslims are trying to purge Christians from the world, particularly the Middle East and the surrounding regions.

Take Pakistan for example. There is a village in that country where the Muslim leadership has issued an ultimatum to all Christians living in Manta Bahauddin’s Chak 44. Heck of a name for a village, I know. And to make matters worse, if that’s possible, the Muslim majority has demanded the immediate surrender of a Christian for the horrific crime of watching a blasphemous video on his phone.

Naturally the child will stand trial and if found guilty, the youth will be forced to pay a fine and maybe do some community service. To us this still doesn’t exactly sound like reasonable punishment for simply viewing what the Muslim majority deemed as “blasphemous,” but it’s not terrible. True enough – if that’s what is planned for the young man. read more

Radical Islam vs. Free Speech

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I’ve written dozens of articles and broadcast many podcasts on the topic of Islam. For those who have read and listened to mine and others, you can be sure you are far better informed on the subject than virtually all other non-Muslims throughout the world.

We’ve learned about the Five Pillars of Islam, the prophet Muhammad, Sharia, the Caliphate, the Mahdi (the Twelfth Imam) and jihad. We understand by listening to well-known Islamists such as Anjem Choudary that Muhammad had prophesized that Islam “will one day dominate the whole world, such as that Allah (SWT) showed him the east and the west and the authority of the Ummah (Muslims) was over the whole of it, i.e. over the whole world including the USA, Russia, China, India etc.” We know this is not idle propaganda – they really believe this to be true and are battling everyday to achieve it.

Islamists like Choudary preach that “Muslims must believe in and try to realize through their daw’ah (propagation of Islam) and through the establishment of the Khilafah (the Islamic State) whose foreign policy will be jihad to remove all obstacles in the way of the implementation of Islam (i.e. the sharia) everywhere – that a Muslim must not obey, submit or follow anyone or anything other than Allah in his life. This means that democracy is anathema to Islam…”

Knowing all these things, one can only conclude, by their own words, that Western democracy is utterly incompatible with Islam. Whether they are radical Islamists like ISIS and al-Qaeda, who attempt to conquer by force, or supposedly non-violent groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb-ut Tahrir, who seek to conquer the West by way of Civilization Jihad, the end is still the same – the replacement of democracy and republicanism with theocracy. read more

Moderate Muslims are like A-La-Carte Christians

by: the Common Constitutionalist

This one may offend some, so for that, I apologize – although not for the content.

Most understand what is meant by an a-la-carte Christian. I would venture to say that many Christians world-wide are of the a-la-carte variety. For those unfamiliar with the term, an a-la-carte Christian is one who doesn’t adhere entirely to the teachings of Christ – they are not faithful to the Ten Commandments.

Inevitably, most of us Christians have at one time or another failed to live up to those Commandments. But this every once in while human failing is not the definition of an a-la-carte Christian. There is a big difference between slipping up from time to time and making a conscious decision to ignore any Commandment.

The Ten Commandments is not a take-out menu, where one may simply select one dish and not another. They all called Commandments – not the Ten Suggestions. For this reason, as an example, I would describe any so-called Christian who is pro-abortion as a-la-carte. Sure, he or she doesn’t lie, cheat, steal, etc., but “You shall not murder” is pretty cut and dry – and by the way, the proper wording of the Sixth Commandment is “murder,” not “You shall not kill,” as many have come to believe. Or maybe another description would be, yes I believe in the Christian God, so therefore I am a Christian, but I steal cars for a living. The two just don’t go together.

Being Christian is more than just acknowledging the existence of Christ. A-la-carte Christians may call themselves Christians, but if they don’t at least try to adhere to God’s law, they really aren’t.

Unfortunately the same can be said of Muslims, only for them, it is the flip-side. So-called moderate Muslims can really no more call themselves real followers of Islam and the Prophet than can al-a-carte Christians say the same of their religion. read more
