Christian Student Apparently Suspended for Being Christian

Christians are among the most, if not the most persecuted peoples on the planet. One might argue that no – it’s the Jews. It may be a one and one-A type of thing, but as there are many more Christians, I think the title of most persecuted should go to us.

We hear horror stories of Christians being exterminated in the Middle East – and Europe, as it transforms into Euro-Islam, is becoming increasing hostile to Christians.

Here in the land of the free and home of the brave, intolerance of Christians and Christian beliefs is a relatively new phenomenon. But as the American left becomes more radically secular, they have little patience or tolerance for Christian beliefs with all our “God” rules.

Another odd thing has happened over the last several years – one I wrote about in World Net Daily just a few weeks ago. The title of that piece was “The clueless left’s alignment with radical Islam.” You may review it here.

Radical Islamists of the Muslim Brotherhood have chosen radical leftist groups to unwitting become useful idiots for the Brotherhood’s Civilization Jihad.

So when I read that a student at Rollins College in Orlando Florida was suspended due to a complaint by his Muslim professor, my radar naturally went up. Could this be another case of Christian persecution, or a Christian gone wild? read more

Roosevelt University’s anti-Trump Safe Space

from the College Fix:

Roosevelt University has launched a self-described safe space campaign that includes posting “symbolic” signs across its urban and suburban campuses stating “Inclusion Has No Borders” in response to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

The university’s newly formed Outreach, Advocacy, Social Justice, Information and Safety (OASIS) Committee announced the campaign last week. The effort includes posting the “Inclusion Has No Borders” signage around the university, which has campuses in Chicago and nearby Schaumburg, Illinois.

Students, faculty and staff have been encouraged to post the signs on campus and use the hashtag “#YouAreWelcomeHere” on their social media accounts. read more

A Slave Auction in 2017 America

I don’t think anyone would ever mistake me for a leftist – not even being left leaning. There’s not much about them that makes any sense and the decisions they make, the opinions they have, tend to be highly contradictory at times.

Their views on children, for example. They teach children about separation of Church and State, but dress them up in Hijabs, conduct mock prayers to Allah and teach them the Five Pillars of Islam.

They teach children about the dangers of predatory men in the schoolyard, the playground, on the streets and online. Yet they insist that everyone should be able to use the same bathroom.

The left insists on coddling children – protecting them from every potentially dangerous or controversial situation (when it suits their political agenda). They claim that we must shield them from disappointment and anything which can damage a young student’s self-esteem or hurt their little feelings. read more

Donald Trump, Black History Month, and Made Up Outrage

by: the Common Constitutionalist

President Trump has taken a lot of crap from the left over his recent acknowledgement of black history month.

His short speech has caused a firestorm of criticism and ridicule over Trump’s highlighting of one famous black icon, Frederick Douglass.

As most are aware Trump said of Douglass, that he “is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more I noticed…”

From that statement, virtually everyone on the left concluded that Trump thinks that Douglass is still alive and that he doesn’t know anything about Douglass. Really? It couldn’t be that Douglass just doesn’t get the press, or constant recognition that other, modern day civil rights leaders receive, because that’s they way I understood it. I thought it was just another Trumpism – that anyone Trump appreciates or likes, does, or has done, “an amazing job.”

When that row between Trump and John Lewis, the once civil rights leader and now democrat sell-out, occurred, we heard from Lewis on countless occasions – as well as other black leaders. I listened to many of those speeches and commentaries. I don’t recall hearing the name Frederick Douglass come up once. read more

The Fantasy of Racial Injustice

by: the Common Constitutionalist

We’ve heard it throughout the presidential campaign – that Republicans are racists – conservatives are racists – anyone who dares speak up or speak out against the myth that America is a racist nation.

Are there racists in America? You bet there are, and I’ll lay you odds that there are more racist blacks today per capita than there are whites. But we’re not allowed to say things like that. This is too controversial and may cause leftists to go weak in the knees and tremble in fear.

There is nowhere in this great country of ours where the fantasy of racial injustice is more prevalent than America’s college campuses.

This has become typical of the new University experience today. Practically everyday on some college campus there are one or more demonstrations, sit-ins, walk-outs or protests, bemoaning the fate of some minority group.

Being that discrimination is apparently so commonplace, one would think it would be easy to find instance after instance of these violations. That seems reasonable, does it not? read more

Obama Justice Insists on Non-Citizen Police

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I think we can all agree that being a police officer, especially in any of our major cities, is one the most demanding and dangerous jobs one can have these days. Short of conducting a house to house in some Middle Eastern hell hole, where one can be ambushed at any time, being a big city cop is about as dangerous and stressful as it gets.
Police everywhere have become targets of the insane and hate-filled left.

We should all be thankful that they remain courageous and committed to upholding the law. Without them, some of our cities would have become sites of the next “Purge” long ago – descending into violence and anarchy.

I know my fair share of city cops, and I can tell you – it takes a certain type of individual to wish to don the uniform everyday, knowing what could be in store for them. These men and women are exceptional citizens who fight the good fight because it’s the right thing.

Not everyone can or should aspire to become a cop. It takes a unique set of skills – some can be taught – some are just innate. Therefore, the heads of these police departments are always on the look out for exceptional individuals – either within their present ranks or new hires. That’s the way it should be. But today, the way things should be and reality rarely mesh. read more

Podcast – VP Pence Attends Last Musical – Diversity of Discipline – We Don’t Need No Stinking Jobs

VP elect Mike Pence had the nerve to enter the lion’s den of liberalism and attend the smash Broadway hit, and cocktail set musical, Hamilton. Anyone who is anyone must see and be seen attending Hamilton. However, if one is a republican who just vanquished the democrat in a recent election, the lesson is to not attend a Manhattan function of any kind, lest you get booed and jeered by the tolerant liberals who espouse diversity – just not of thought.

School districts throughout the United States discipline their teachers and students in a variety of ways. One way is to do virtually nothing when two students perform a skit entitled “The Assassination of Donald Trump,” in the middle of a classroom. Another way is to fire a teacher for her use of racial slurs.

Good employees are difficult to find. Lazy ones are evidently much easier, as I found during a recent trip to a local Walmart. read more

The Left is Deeply Disappointed with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

By: the Common Constitutionalist

The shine of one of the progressive left’s icons has recently been tarnished. I liked to say that supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg may be mellowing with age, but it seems like she has been aged for decades.

However, she did stun a whole lot of nouveau-leftists in her interview  with Yahoo’s resident shrew, Katie Couric.

Many younger liberals have come to call Ginsberg, Notorious RBG, for her stance on abortion and such, but it appears she may have lost the gangsta moniker when the topic turned to something I’m sure Couric and most leftists would consider “safe.”

Katie brought up the Colin Kaepernick, National Anthem flap that so many, including me, have been talking and writing about for many weeks. I don’t know what Couric was expecting to hear, but I can guarantee it wasn’t this.

Couric asked Ginsberg: “How do you feel about 49ers player Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players who have basically refused to stand for the National Anthem?” read more

People Demand Professor be Fired for Saying Black Lives Matter is like the KKK

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Sorry – no Audio Version

It almost seems like a broken record, reporting and commenting on the death of college free speech. If there weren’t so darn many examples of bias and outright animosity toward free speech on college campuses, it would easier to ignore.

Douglas Muir is a rather unassuming restaurant owner and engineering professor at the University of Virginia. However, he made the critical mistake of posting a comment, “responding to a Facebook post that included a photograph of a recent appearance by BLM co-founder Alicia Garza in Charlottesville.” Garza was speaking at a nearby theater on “Rooting Out Injustice…”

Anyone who is familiar with Garza knows she is a leftist radical and professional race-hustler. Evidently Professor Muir is acquainted with the work of Garza, as he posted that, “Black Lives Matter is biggest racist organization since the Klan. Are you kidding me. Disgusting!!!”

Of course he is correct, but on college campuses today, being right is as good as being white – and completely immaterial. Phony calls for diversity and inclusion (of all who agree) are the only things that matter, and will be the only things considered.

For stating his opinion, Professor Muir is paying a steep price. In no time flat his University threw him under the bus, stating: “A recent comment regarding the Black Lives Matter movement, posted on social media by Doug Muir, a lecturer in our school, has raised serious concerns about UVA Engineering’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and support of populations that are traditionally underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.”

Yes, let us not concern ourselves with teaching engineering and math. Let us instead make a “commitment to diversity and inclusion.” That will keep America competitive with the rest of the world. read more

Saturday Night Live Diversity Hire Backfires

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I am not a fan of Saturday Night Live. Frankly I’m stunned it is still being aired. In my opinion, with few exceptions – Chris Farley comes to mind – the show hasn’t been any good since the members of the original cast left – amongst them were Dan Akroyd, John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Lariane Newman, Garret Morris and Gilda Radner. It’s still hard to believe the show is almost 42 years old, as the first airing was in 1975.

But in all that time and with hundreds of different cast members, there has not been a single Hispanic woman who has done anything more than a guest appearance.

You may be thinking – so what – who cares – least of all the Common Constitutionalist. After all, is this not just liberal group think – what the left preaches to us regularly – that thinks are not fair unless everyone is somehow “represented.”

Yes of course, which why I’m bringing it up.

On September 12, 2016, Saturday Night Live (SNL) finally did something about. Amidst much ballyhoo, it was announced that Melissa Villaseñor was joining the cast for its upcoming season. It was to be a “seminal moment” for representation of Latinos in comedy. Evidently this is important to the left – I guess because a black or white woman telling jokes or starring in skits is completely different. read more
