The Snitches in Your Kids’ Dental Office
How sharper than a serpent’s tooth to have a despotic pediatric dentist.
Parents who decide, for whatever reason, that they don’t like their children’s oral care provider should be forewarned. Empowered by government “mandatory reporter” laws, dental offices are now using their authority to threaten families with child abuse charges if they don’t comply with the cavity police.
Mom Trey Hoyumpa shared a letter last week on Facebook from a dental office called Smiles 4 Keeps in Bartonsville, Pennsylvania. It informed her that if she did not make a dental appointment for “regular professional cleanings” for her child, she could be charged with “dental neglect.”

Say I’m walking down the street. There’s a bank being robbed about 500 ft up the road. The robbery goes bad and the crooks start opening up on the patrons inside the bank. 20 people are shot and killed. By now I’m only about 200 ft from the bank, but that’s as close as I get. That places me less than a football field away.
When it’s over, I head up to the bank steps, where I see reporters descending on the bank. One of them sees me and asks if I’m one of the mass-shooting survivors. I said I heard gunshots, but can I consider myself a survivor of the bank mass-shooting? No – of course not. That’s ridiculous.
But if not, why not?
Normally, I write about politics. Politics is important. No doubt about it. It’s what drives the country, for better or worse. I’ll go with the latter.
And it’s what we write and read about on a daily basis. Some earn a good living doing it. But it’s not the be all, end all – or shouldn’t be. Family and friends are what should be most important and should trump everything – but God. When it comes down to it, it should be the care and love of our fellow man (and woman), not our political party.
But what happens when you discover that a friend or loved one has suffered abuse at the hands of a spouse or someone else he or she trusted?
Guest Post by John Velisek, USN (ret.):
Saturday was the day of the “March For Our Lives,” which transformed into an all-out anti-gun, anti-2nd amendment and anti-Trump movement. Taking place in cities all across the country and funded by anti-gun left wing organizations, it will become a debacle that did not need to occur.
Ostensibly created by the Parkland school youth, it is now working with adults from leftist organizers like March for Women Live Action Fund, MoveOn.org, The Giffords group, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and of course Everytown, Bloomberg’s gun confiscation group who have spewed lies since the time of the Parkland shooting.
And who can explain why a meeting was held in Broward County by someone named Debby Miller, who introduced herself as a representative of the Giffords Foundation? I thought this was all put in place by the altruistic students. And why were school funds, a taxpayer resource, used for the printing of itinerary for the March?
Students, with little knowledge and even less understanding, will take to the streets to demand that more action be taken. Ignoring the fact that there are thousands of gun laws already on the books, and those suggested would not have stopped these actions. A School Resource Officer (SRO) could have prevented parkland, or at least mitigated it, but he was under orders to maintain a perimeter and too cowardly to take matters into his own hands and save lives. Maryland had shooting as well. Law enforcement stopped that. There needs to be armed security of some type in our schools. Any school shooting that has a massacre of the kind in the past will have to explain to the parents of those harmed why there was not adequate security.
Liberalism Killed the Radio Star… and the TV star… and the Movie and Sports Stars, Too
Liberalism is fast destroying the entirety of the entertainment sector in the U.S. today, from movies and TV, to sports, to publishing. But the amazing thing is that these media sectors don’t care even a tiny bit that their popularity and finances are eroding faster than a sand castle at high tide.
A new poll by McLaughlin & Associates and the Media Research Center reveals a shocking statistic: Fully 44 percent of Americans are less likely to watch sports and entertainment shows “because they have become too political.”
Art transcends politics. Isn’t that the saying?
Well, it may have, but hasn’t been for a while now. And with the election of Donald Trump as president, it seems the opposite is true.
I think we can all recall a little more than a year ago when the left was positively giddy over the fact that, “While Obama’s [inaugural] concert included the likes of Beyoncé, U2, Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen – ‘Trump’s Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration’ will be marked by lower-wattage stars,” and that, “Singers who have agreed to perform at Trump’s inauguration have faced widespread backlash. Others associated with the event we’re forced to back away, while some have come out saying they wouldn’t perform even if asked.”
So, When Will Democrats Start Brutally Attacking Gun-Loving Conor Lamb?
While viciously attacking Republicans for opposing gun control, Democrats are celebrating the victory of gun-loving Conor Lamb in the Pennsylvania special election. What would those student gun control protestors say if they knew about that?
What has barely been mentioned over the past few weeks, however, is the fact that Lamb ran as a something of a poster boy for the NRA.
from Michelle Malkin:
Look homeward, “change agents:” My #nationalwalkoutday message
Here is my homework assignment for all the fist-clenching, gun control-demanding teenagers walking out of classrooms this week (and next week and next month) to protest school shootings:
Ask not what the rest of the country can do for your local school’s safety; ask what your local school boards and superintendents have been failing to do for you.
Pioneering theoretical physicist and science popularizer Stephen Hawking has passed away at the age of 76. Details have not been released yet, but the BBC reports that his children Lucy, Robert and Tim have released a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today. He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years.”
