Is Parler News the New Conservative Twitter?

from the Daily Caller:

CONSERVATIVES BURNED BY TWITTER FLOCK TO NEW PLATFORM

After an unexpected surge of new users caused some technical difficulties earlier in the week, the new app that some are calling the answer to the ongoing battle between conservatives and Twitter is back up and running, promising to support free expression online.

The platform, called Parler News, is named for the French word meaning “to speak,” and many are saying it is the next logical move for those who wish to do so freely without fear of being silenced. read more

#WalkAway and Turning Point USA Should Join Forces

Or at the very least, give the brave #WalkAway converts a platform to help them spread their word of freedom and conversion. In my opinion, it’s a perfect fit.

Both movements cater to a similar demographic, say the 18 to 35 crowd, as older leftists tend to be more set in their ways, more averse to change, or frankly even opening their minds long enough to see and hear another view.

For those unfamiliar, Brandon Straka, the founder of #WalkAway, describes the movement thusly: “The #WalkAway Campaign is the movement bringing Americans together to #WalkAway from intolerance and societal discord; to leave i

dentity politics behind; and to walk towards unity, civility, respect, and the American ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.”

The Turning Point, “organization’s mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government.” read more

Behar and the Left Use the Bush Family to Bash Trump

from Michelle Malkin at Conservative Review:

Malkin: Stop partisan corpse abuseRelated image

Impolite question, but it needs to be asked: Is there a Republican dead body that left-wing partisans won’t use to bash Donald Trump?

This week’s partisan corpse abusers callously exploited the passing of George H.W. Bush, America’s 41st president, to get in their digs at the current commander in chief. Their vulgar level of incivility was inversely propositional to their sanctimonious calls for decency. read more

WND Exclusive – WHAT IS REAL CONSERVATISM?

by: Brent Smith for World Net Daily

Many of us, like me, refer to ourselves as conservatives. And that means something – something different to almost everyone. Ask a dozen people what a conservative is, and you’ll get a dozen varied answers.

This is why it’s really not proper to just call oneself a conservative.

Because everything these days seems to boil down to politics, the term conservative invariably evokes an emotional response, much like the term liberal, or progressive.

But if we strip away the politics, a conservative is just one who wishes to conserve, or preserve. Conservative is broadly defined as one who is disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, or to limit change. read more

Murphy Brown Spotlights Trump’s Supposed Angry Rhetoric

**UPDATE**

CBS has reporter cancelled the Murphy Brown reboot after a single season. Shocking – no one wanted to watch another show about angry leftists.

from the Blaze:

Trump supporters beat up reporter on ‘Murphy Brown’; creator calls out president’s ‘angry rhetoric’

The revived “Murphy Brown” TV series, which stars Candice Bergen as an unabashed politically progressive journalist, headed in a predictable — and decidedly humorless — direction on Thursday night’s episode.

The preachy, unsubtle “Beat the Press” storyline features one of her reporters — Frank Fontana (Joe Regalbuto) — brutally beaten by a “sea of red hats” at a rally for President Donald Trump and subsequently hospitalized.

Think Twice Before Buying DNA Test Kits

from IBD:

5 Reasons You Should Avoid Take-Home DNA Tests

The holiday shopping season is just around the corner. And millions of Americans think they’ve found the perfect gift — DNA testing kits.

It’s easy to see why the kits from companies such as AncestryDNA, 23andMe, and MyHeritage are so popular. For less than $100, folks can discover their ancestry and uncover potentially dangerous genetic mutations. About 12 million Americans have bought these kits in recent years.

But DNA testing isn’t risk-free — far from it. The kits jeopardize people’s privacy, physical health, and financial well-being. There are five key reasons Americans should think twice before buying a DNA testing kit. read more

Our Future Leaders and Morality

Guest Post by: John Velisek USN (Ret.)
for the Common Constitutionalist

Is there morality in government?

It is expected that our politicians be moral and of good character and integrity. But given the power unlawfully and unconstitutionally usurped by our elected officials, can it be said that any member of Congress fits within a recognized set of moral parameters? After all, it is the morality of our legislators which will affect the life, dreams, and hopes of not only this generation, but the generations to come.

The amount of power which a lazy and cowardly American public has permitted our politicians to take for themselves is staggering. But what else could be expected from citizens who look to government as mother and caregiver?

There are many who no longer assume the least bit of responsibility for their own lives. This leads to the rise of an elite dictatorship which, using the best of excuses, such as “it’s for the children,” continues to take away liberty and manipulate our every activity for “the public good.” How eagerly these power hungry political hacks grasp at even the slightest chance for additional authority. read more

Flecca Talks to Students about Ben Shapiro

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief, Ben Shapiro, last month spoke at University of Southern California (USC). Prior to his arrival, roving reporter/interviewer, Austen Fletcher of Fleccas Talks was on campus amidst the students protesting Shapiro.

He wanted to know what the students were protesting – what they thought of and knew of Shapiro, amongst other things.

To my surprise, some were actually conservative, well read and well-informed. They were there to engage in actual dialogue with anyone who would listen – anyone with an open mind that is. However, the overwhelming majority were just mindless clapping seals, chanting the gibberish they were to told to chant.

One of the more memorable imbecilic chants that Fletcher highlighted was, “Cops and Klan go hand in hand.” Fletcher approached a few of the “chanters” to question them on the logic of the screed. He told them to look around – that there were black cops, Asian cops, Hispanic cops. He asked: “Why would chant that? The cops are here [pointed to them]. Half of them are black.” read more

from the College Fix:

Student diversity officials call off impeachment for ‘illegal aliens’ remark to avoid lawsuit

Mad at university for not addressing ‘hate’ online

Student government officials who threatened to impeach one of their leaders for using the phrase “illegal aliens” have backed off, citing fears for their “safety and wellbeing.”

They are also afraid of being sued for First Amendment violations.

Senators lashed out at Emporia State University administrators Wednesday night for not responding to the “hate” directed at them for the impeachment threat, according to The Bulletin student newspaper. read more

Hollywood Exposes Its Leftism Again

from Western Journalism:

Producer: My Christian Film Got Rated ‘R.’ It Has No Nudity, Sex, Bad Language, Gore, Drugs.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) adds its name to a list of increasingly brazen leftist media powerhouses who discriminate against conservative voices in the public square.

Facebook: Graphic images of a woman smashing and eating a baby do not violate “community standards” but quoting a Bible verse on homosexuality does.

Twitter: Conservative voices and alternative news sources frequently find themselves muzzled while profane rants against them are celebrated. read more
