Google’s Call-Out Culture Hearkens back To Mao’s Cultural Revolution

from the American Spectator:

Google Bigots and the High-Tech Lynching of Kay James

Friday, at four o’clock in the afternoon.

Kay Cole James, the president of the Heritage Foundation, steps to the podium of the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference in suburban Harrisburg and gives the startling update.

Ms. James, at a laughing, self-admitted 70 and famously one of the best known, longtime conservative leaders in the country, announces to the PLC crowd (the PLC is the Pennsylvania version of CPAC and was celebrating its 30th anniversary) that this was her first public comment since she had learned only hours earlier that she had been removed as a recent appointee to Google’s Advanced Technology External Advisory Council. The board, on which she would have served without salary, was designed to review artificial intelligence ethics. read more

GW Students Want to Dump Their Namesake

You’ve probably seen or heard of the dust-up at Hofstra University. Some snowflake students want to remove a statue of Thomas Jefferson. Yes, Thomas Jefferson. Now, George Washington University students want to rid themselves of the evils of the school’s mascot, George Washington. Let’s just erase our entire history.

from Zero Hedge:

Goodbye George: GW Students Vote To “Remove-And-Replace” Mascot

According to the GWU Joint Elections Commission, 54 percent of students who voted in this spring’s Student Association elections supported the removal of the Colonial as the school’s mascot. It was not immediately clear what students plan to replace the Colonial mascot with or even if school administrators will act on the results of the referendum.  read more

WND Exclusive – RADICAL TRANSGENDER MOVEMENT TARGETS OUR KIDS

by Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

There’s a real problem arising in our nation’s public schools. They’re becoming more and more radical. That comes as big surprise, I know.

The public school system has virtually unfettered access to our children, starting at age 5. And many public school districts offer preschool and pre-kindergarten programs for ages 3 and 4, respectively.

And with this access comes a lot of responsibility on their part, and a lot of trust on the part of parents.

For decades, this didn’t seem to a problem. However, recent history has shown a change in public school education. It’s no longer just education, but inculcation – indoctrination of leftist ideology and a rejection of traditional American values. read more

Try as They may – You Still Can’t Beat Chick-fil-A

from the College Fix:

Blocked from some schools, Chick-fil-A still thrives on campuses across the country

In spite of negative press and the efforts of several schools working to keep the popular restaurant off their campuses in recent years, Chick-fil-A remains a steady presence at hundreds of schools across the country.

Particularly since 2012, when the company’s president, Dan Cathy, voiced support for “the biblical definition of the family unit,” the school has come under fire from LGBT activists and other progressive groups. Last June, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was slammed for simply eating at Chick-fil-A. LGBT organizations have accused Chick-fil-A of donating money to “hate groups.” Last April, The New Yorker covered the restaurant’s expansion with an article titled “Chick-fil-A”s Creepy Infiltration of New York City,” with the author unfavorably noting the chain’s “pervasive Christian traditionalism.” read more

Kaepernick is Ready for The NFL – Are they Ready for Him?

After the Superbowl, I usually go into a period of dormancy. Don’t care for basketball, baseball is boring and I can watch enoughImage result for take a chance on Kaepernick hockey to stay interested. So when I see a headline regarding anything football, I glom on, no matter trivial.

So Kaepernick is “ready” for the NFL again, eh. Question is, is the NFL ready for him, and will any team take a chance on quarterback who may no longer have it. Also will any team risk any potential antics on his part.

from the Blaze:

Colin Kaepernick looking to get back in NFL after settling grievance—and a QB vacancy just opened

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is reportedly ready to get back in the NFL now that he has settled his grievance against the league that claimed he had been blackballed for protesting the national anthem.

Kaepernick has not played professional football since 2016, but a source close to the former quarterback said he’s ready to go if called upon. The Miami Dolphins traded their starting quarterback Friday, creating a vacancy Kaepernick could potentially fill. read more

Video Podcast – Transgenders in the Military

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

As an Originalist Constitutional conservative, I try to live my life by the Jeffersonian creed, “If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what difference is it to me!”

In other words, regarding this podcast, I don’t give a crap what your sexual orientation is, or which one of 500 genders you currently are, as long as it doesn’t interfere with my life or cost me anything.

And someone being gay, bi, trans, whatever, doesn’t affect my life in any way, negatively or positively. So what the heck do I care. No one should. Just don’t ask me to pay for your operations or treatments. And don’t demand that I celebrate your lifestyle, when I don’t. I’m agnostic about these issues. I just don’t care enough to demonstrate for or against it.

However, the members of the military are affected by such things. In this podcast I explain why, and why these types of “distractions” can have a negative affect on the cohesiveness of the unit. read more

Another Hate Crime That Isn’t

from the Blaze:

Mayor claims she was hate crime victim after ‘yellow, sticky substance’ found on car. But cops have simpler explanation.

Or Not

Darnell Byrd McPherson — the volunteer mayor of Lamar, South Carolina — said she was a hate crime victim after finding a “yellow, sticky substance” that seemed to have been sprayed on her car early last month, Newsweek reported.

McPherson had returned to her home Feb. 7 and told the magazine that her husband “went out to the car to get some things out of the garage. He says, ‘Somebody’s painted your car!'” read more

The Only Fascists in the Classroom are Leftists

from the College Fix:

I called for diversity of thought. My peers compared me to a neo-Nazi.

As I took part in a recent student leadership board meeting for the Department of Political Science at Boston University, a group that works to advise faculty on ways to improve, I offered some advice: the department could use more intellectual diversity.

I suggested more debates in the classroom, as opposed to what I had witnessed in my three years at the school, that being an assumption during class that everyone agrees. read more

The Left’s New Definition of a Phobia

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Scroll Down for Audio Version

What is a phobia? A phobia is an unnatural and irrational fear of something, someone, or situation.

We all know terms like Arachnophobia. It’s the fear of arachnids, like spiders or scorpions. The fear of heights is suffered by millions. It is Acrophobia. Claustrophobia is the fear of confined spaces, again, afflicting millions.

These are considered real fears and should be taken seriously. Sufferers of these phobias can have severe and extreme reactions when facing them. It can cause depression, anxiety, panic attacks and much worse. Those who don’t suffer from these afflictions may belittle them as nonsense, but they are quite real to those who they affect.

However, over the past decades, many other phobias have cropped up that are utter nonsense. And worse, they are assigned by their inventors, the suffix “phobia,” without meeting the criteria. read more

You Can’t Agree to Disagree with a Leftist

We’ve all the term, when at an impasse during a discussion, one turns to another and says: “Well then , I guess we must respectfully agree to disagree.” This respectful disagreement can happen when the people involved are both reasonable and have shared goals.

But as Owen Benjamin at Prager University explains, this new strain of radical leftists have no shared goals with the rest of us reasonable Americans. Therefore, it’s impossible to respectfully agree to disagree.
